Clothes Dilemma!

Postby Caramel Swirl » Tue Feb 26, 2008 3:18 pm

Ugggggg - I feel horrible :(

I've just returned from a lunch-time clothes shopping trip and am totally depressed.

Last weekend I came to the realisation that I am now too big for most of my clothes. I had squeezed myself into my jeans on Saturday and was so uncomfortable I couldn't wait to get home and peel them off!
I even refused to go out on Sat night because I literally had nothing to wear. It was a dinner invite and I couldn't stand the thought of trying to eat with my clearly visable muffin top hanging over my too tight pants

I'm going to a concert on the weekend and really want to have something nice to wear and feel comfortable too.

I think I'm now a size 16 in jeans. Can anyone recommend where to buy some from?

I'd just go to Target....don't buy any expensive jeans cos they won't fit for long!! You'll be needing a 14 in a few weeks, then a 12, then a 10...

Crossroads is one of my favourite stores to buy new clothes in while you're losing weight. They're reasonably priced and have a great range of sizes. Their jeans are usually stretchy ones and so fit better and they're usually only around $30-$40.

Thanks for the response girls - I'll check out those stores - fingers crossed I'll have something by the weekend!

Hopefully in a few weeks I'll be shopping for a 14, then a 12 and so on like Ali said - yahh I would love to fit into a 12, it's been about 6 years since I've done that! I don't ever remember being a 10!

With jeans you really do need a good cut to suit your figure, so I would highly recommend spending a bit of mullah on getting a cut that really does suit you. Remember cheap isn't always best; and a really good cut does make you feel like a million bucks :D. Also spend a good couple of hours trying on different styles, cuts and washes.

I bought a pair of Target stretch wide leg jeans about a week ago and I have lived in them, only about $40 and their range is pretty good too. You don't want to go over the top expensive because like it's been said you aren't going to need them for too long
