why am i sooo tied??

hey guys this week i started my lifestyle change.. all i have been doin is changing my eatin habits only eating good fresh food, heaps of water and doing two 20min sesions on the treadmil a day at 5KM... i thought i should be feeling better but the truth is im soo tied its crazy>> i never use to get tied at all when i was not exercising at eating all that disgusting junk food?!?!?!?

Are you eating enough?

How are your protein / carb levels?

I also think you may need to be looking closely at what you are consuming everyday. Basically there is no need to be tired, you should have more energy than ever. Maybe you should talk to your doctor and get a professional opinion, there may be and underlying problem if you are on a balanced diet.

Did you end up joining calorie king? My first thoughts are that you aren't eating enough.

As others have said you shouldn't be tired, you should be feeling much better. With your exercise do you mean you walk 5kms in 20mins or do you set the treadmill on a speed of 5k/ph?

Let us know about CK and how many calories you're eating and what types of food and we might be able to help from there :)

What about Iron levels ?. I know everytime I'm tired its coz I'm generally low in Iron.

yeah i joined up for it but now my free trial has ended so i guess i will have to buy it now.. i guess it should it does help.. um yeah well i was using about 3/4 of the calories that suggested to use, which in my case was 2000. but that seemed alot to me?!/ and i set the treadmil to 5k/ph..
im really not sure why im still tied though, i work 65 hours a week which i have always done which is fairly phsical work and im runing on the treadmil two times a day for 20 mins.. for breakfast im either having a tf shake or apple, lunch sandwich and diet yogurt and tea, vegies and meat..
really not sure what the go is

Maybe you could up the meals your having. I have 6 mall meals a day...breakfast, snack, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, Snack...

Im sleeping better than ever. And def try to stick to your calories...I was eating less than I was supposed to and was zapped all the time..I upped it to what they are supposed to be, and im loosing more, and feeling better!

Anthony, are you on the Australian calorie king website? You don't have to pay for that one, only the US one for some reason?!

I agree with Tam, you need to stick to your calories...and I think 5 or 6 small meals are heaps better than 3 big ones.

Hope you start to feel a bit better soon!

im not sure about my iron levels, i have no idea?? how do i know if im havin enough??

I definitely agree with Tam on the 6 small meals a day. I would be sooooooooo hungry if it weren't for morning and afternoon tea.

I don't think it sounds like you're eating enough. Try go for a bigger breakfast. I think nothing beats my morning vogels soy and linseed bran with fat free yoghurt and LSA! Next time you go to the supermarket consider getting 2 things. 1. Slim secrets bars. They're SO yummy and good for you, only aroudn 135 cals and very filling for morning or afternoon tea. 2. A multi vitamin so you can be sure you're getting good levels of iron, calcium, vits/mins etc. Try a piece of fruit and/or a small serving of raw nuts for afternoon tea. Then your lean meat and veggies (use a light/low cal sauce if you can) for dinner.

I think if you up your cals a bit and consider a multi vitamin you might start to feel better.

ok thanks fiona.. the thing im finding hard to is that im dieing without my potatos.. i really think i need them back.. i dont like alot of vegies, i like salad but like potato corn and peas are the only vegies i really eat

If you're really missing your potatoes then have them, just not every night and have a small serve. If you can, have 1 small boiled or steamed potato. Or if you want to mash it put in some skim or low fat milk, no butter. Corn is quite high in carbs but just half a large cob or a small cob is fine.

Don't deprive yourself, enjoy your potatoes and corn, just remember portion control and moderation :D
