I am going to allow myself my favourite wine on the weekends. I have been thinking alot about this and after the debacle of the yucky stuff I bought yesterday, I have decided that I still need to live, and if I try to cut alcohol out completely I know I won't be able to. I don't smoke, I excercise and I am eating pretty good right now, I have cut back on alot of the bad foods etc so I am sure that moderation is the key. For long term weight loss, I think I need to let myself have this treat. What do you all think?

So do you allow yourself a treat, and how often and what do you have. Or is there anyone who is super good all the time :D Cheers

I definitely allow myself treats once a week! Mine tend to be chocolate/cake/chips etc though :P

Its fine to have set treats as long as its in moderation, enjoy your wine :D

After all this is a LIFESTYLE change so we have to make changes that we're happy to live with forever, not just for a few months.
Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.

Just enjoying the new and improved healthy me and embracing my new lifestyle!

I agree, its a life style change ..
If we starve oursleves from certain things it makes a bindge so go for it

I totally hear you about the alcohol. Me and the girls often get together every few weekends for a social drink. I love my cowboys, and cocktails! I'm not going to deprive myself of this. Just drink in moderation (i.e. - 1 cowboy) instead of downing 10 in a row :oops: (shame). I agree that If you deprive yourself of something you love, you just end up binging.
