oh trust me!
i have nooooo self control.
i just find it easier to say no to other people offering me food than to myself!

just had lunch at austereo which was great!
got to see kyle sandilands golden mic and saw a couple of other people like wil anderson.
they had yummy sandwiches... but you know how sandwiches are never really healthy unless you make them yourself!
so i only had 2 little quaters and diet coke, came back to the office and had an apple.

there has been so much chocolate floating around the office from reps due to easter!
one was good and gave me a photo frame instead - something i can use!
woohoo!
today i'm loving my job... (they told me i'm doing really well and will look to being promoted easily by the end of the yr which is so nice because my last job had no job progression)
lets hope it lasts! xx

(sorry random post, just needed to ramble about my day so i can remember it's not all bad!)

Yah for your photo frame and yah for promotions!! Thats great!

I don't think you give yourself enough credit with your self control!! It's obviously better than mine :P

Hhhmmm.....the dreaded ticker! With all those temptations it could be going west though...I think you're doing really well :P

I'm doing ok, thanks for asking! Off crutches (not sure if I'm allowed to be!) and back at work - although I resigned yesterday!! Almost finished the moving process so I'm ready to pretty much start a new, healthy and happy life near the beach!! YAH!

I was actually [email protected] myself! The people I work for are SO lovely and I get along with them so well, it's just that the job was a little too boring! They were so good to me since my accident - sending me flowers, no pressure to come back early, making sure I was ok physically AND financially...i gelt awful!

Looking forward to the new job though :P

Who is it that you work for...if you want to say!!

Oh I hate that!
When you work with really lovely people and have to say goodbye
But I bet the new job will have equally lovely people!
And even better opportunities.

I work for a media agency as a media assistant
So basically we book/buy adspace for clients... snooze much?
But there are a lot of perks like free tickets, heaps of magazines and the hours are good!
Hehehe I used to work for Disney which was good fun, but a really different work environment. I'd work such long days, but now I'm usually out by 5:30 at the latest. I love being at home earlier... means I can't justify not exercising!

I would absolutely love to work for Disney. It would be a lot more fun then working for a company that sold toilet paper and tampons.

Hahahaha I suppose so!

Disney was fantastic.
I had a TV on my desk with full Foxtel package!
It's a great product and I'd love to work for them again, but alas the saga of internships only lasting a year.
I'm still going to see High School Musical on Ice!
Hehehehe

It's a bit like that here too... bottles on desks!
Do you enjoy it?
I'm still not decided...

Yeah i really love it!
We're an integrated agency, so im in a media department so we get to see the creatievs and account executives. So its a lil more interesting...

I want to get into Account Management though, i think i would like that interaction better.

It can be a bit dry, but ive been working in it for a year now and its gotten sooooo much better. The freebies are awesome and there are always functions, especially around christmas.

Oh wow just like me!!!

Question... how long would you think you would stay as an assistant before advancing to a planner/buyer??

Hmmm I've told to expect a promotion within the year.
It depends... some people have moved really quickly (like 6months) while others have taken a fair bit longer!
I'm just doing a tv buyers course now!
What do you think?

Integrated would be so interesting!
All I end up seeing of an ad is it's key number haha...
Agreed, it can be dry so I guess you just have to milk all the perks you can!
