This can't be right?!?

I decided to update my personal profile on Calorie King this morning, I have lost 5kg+ since the last time I updated it. But the amount of calories it gave me sounds wrong! I went from a recommended 1700 to now being recommended 1210! That seems like too big a leap for a difference of a handful of kilos! I've still got another 20kg ,at least, to lose. What the hell would it be wanting me to have when I lose another 10kg? :lol: What do I do?

PHew! I just saw what was wrong, for some reason my year of birth was showing up as 1908, instead of 1984 :lol: Hahahaha! I corrected it and have been given recommended cals of 1630, that sounds better! Well at least I know how many I have to be on to lose weight when I'm 100 :lol:

ha thats funny... well im sopose to have 2000 calories a day.. i dont even get close to this.. and i sopose to over eat until i get up to my 2000 calories at the moment im only havin around 1200 and im not feelin hungry.. should i force myself to eat more till im up to 2000????

definately dont force yourself to eat, aslong as your eating enough and not hungry its upto u what u eat :) cal king recomends i have 1740 and i only have about 1300 of them

You should try and eat a bit more, otherwise if you stay on 1200 now, you have nowhere to go when you lost more weight! I found it hard to consume the calories I was given as well, to start with. Try things like nuts, protein shakes/bars, low-fat cheese, etc to bulk up your calorie intake a bit. You'll get used to it if you just build up gradually :D

Cal King is weird :?

At my highest weight it gave me a recommendation of 1400 cals and then when I lost a bit, a daily intake of 1340 cals, which was great at that stage. Then when I started to really get into my running, I changed my details and it still didn't change my cal intake to correspond with the amount of energy I was expanding with all the exercise I am currently doing. Eating that few calories really played havoc with my energy and it showed in my running , hockey, PT sessions, gyming and general day to day living, I was tired even though I was eating super healthy. So I upped my cal limit by 200-300 cals.

Since seeing a sports nutritionist, I found out I was under eating, considering all the energy I was burning up. Its great for weight loss but bad for endurance and performance which is needed in marathon running. The sports nutritionist was great and did all these test to determine how much energy I need and how much I burn from day to day. I got set a 1700-1800 cal limit incorporating high fiber and high healthy carbs. I'm eating lots of breads, pasta, rice and potato and I had a sneak peek this morning on the scale and I'm still losing weight :shock: :D

But yeah Cal King isn't always right I have found :?
Start weight - 77kgs
Goal weight - 53kgs
Current Weight - 50.1kgs

i just updated my cal king to say i have a job where i am on my feet all day and now its telling me to eat 1930! i dont think i could do it, but i dont think the 1300 im at is enough
any suggestions for a happy medium?
