CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLS

in 2007 i wnt on a diet and los 9 kilos in 12 months.
this is what i did:
breakfast: 1 banana + coconut water(gd for the skin)
lunch: a wheatbread sandwich with tofu, or mock meat, or whtever ( im a vegetarian)
dinner: big bowl of soup and a big platter of fruit
snack: 1 cup of chai tea and 2 biscuits!


I wrked out 5x a wk for
This year i slacked and gained 3 kilos of the 9 kilos back and n stressing out!!
I hear the body needs a "shock" to actually show changes if it gets used to a certain wrkout or diet. so i changed it as below

Breakfast: 3tbsp of instant oat, 1tbsp of wheatgerm, 1tbsp of ground flaxseed- soaked in half an apple juice overnight-- I mix it with half a tiny tub of nonfat flavoured yoghurt which is 25 calories only the next morning, topped with assorted nuts. (sorta of a muesli).

Lunch: Tofu stirfry, tempe stirfy, mock meat stirfry-- mixed with veggies ofcourse--- and 3-4 tbsp of cooked brown rice + a glass of veggie juice ( beetroot, carrot, celery, tomato, cucumber, ginger, bottlegourd, bittergourd)-- good for the skin ive been told!:)--- IM A VEGETARIAN

Dinner: 1 glass of coffee flavored skim milk= 200 calories.

Snack: 3 biscuits of any kind when im hungry.

Now QUESTION IS---- im mantaining the same work out=== even added Power yoga to it!
i do 6 yrs of yoga a wk, 3 hrs of strenth training, 3hrs of cardio.
AND I HAVENT LOST ANY WEIGHT..
CAN SOMEONE PLS HELP ME!!

how many cals are u eating in a day? what cardio are u doing for ur 3hrs a wk?

i take about +/- 1200 calories.

my cardio would be like a maximum incline on the treadmill, or going on the crosstrainer, or the stepper/glide sorta thing..

You may currently be building muscle... maybe go to the doctor or a dietician and see if you're doing anything wrong?

well u first need to make sure that 1200cals is actually enough for ur body or it will hold on to the weight and 2 maybe u need to change what cardio u do. try some different circuit training or maybe go to the gym for some group classes or get some exercise dvds?

i think 1200cal is enough, you question about yoga .... as far as i know yoga is very much helpful for fitness and weight loss, if you take proper diet. i am given you suggestion that you have to go for walk in the morning. then you can see the difference.

Hi tchugani,

I think it could be either your metabolism problem if you are not losing weight even with 1200 calorie diet. Have you checked your resting metabolism rate before (RMR)? I have read some where that in order too boost your metabolism, you should :
- take small and many meals a day, separate at least 2hours between each meal. It seems that you are taking huge meals.
- build muscle density, which you have been doing... but are you sure you are doing it right? If you are following dvds or advices from a trainer, then I think you are doing everything correctly. If this is the case, the reason that you do not lose weight could be due to your increasing muscle mass, which is a good phenomenon.
- drink lots of water a day to ensure your body is working at the optimum level

Could be a hormonal thing, have you tried checking that out?
