Want an honest opinion? don't ask your man, ask your kids!

Postby Nay » Sun Aug 24, 2008 7:15 pm

So I bought a short skirt at a sale today, It has two layers of ruffly material and its real cute. I figured I could wear it around the house in the summer time when it gets hot.

I got home and tried it on in front of my 8 year old daughter and she says

"Yeah, you definately need to wear leggins with that skirt"

I thought she was talking about how white my legs were since I never wear skirts

I asked her why to which she replied:

"Because your legs are all fat and jiggly"

 I was floored!!! So I say, if you want to know if you look fat in something, don't ask your partner because you know the reflex answer will be no, ask your children!!

My child recently asked me why I still have such a fat belly now that the baby is out of it :(

Just be careful not to ask them too much, especially if its a girl. All i remember from my childhood is my ma asking me if she looked fat in this or that. Nowadays when she asks me i tell her to shut up and be happy. Sounds hard but its better than seeing her all upset.
