if u don't burn that energy within the day can the body then turn it into fat stores within a couple of hours, space of a day?

after a quick search on google this is what i found:

About 4 hours. Digestion takes place in about two hours. When you eat the food is converted to glucose and insulin is responsible for allowing it into your cells, the energy (or glucose) that is not used is stored as fat.

Wow, I didn't know that! I suppose I thought it would happen really gradually so that maybe over the space of a few days or week it would become fat. I'm with you strawbs, one more thing to stop me from overindulging!
