Weight? Morning, Noon or Night?

Postby Zoe! » Tue Oct 14, 2008 6:54 pm

Just wondering what weight everyone goes by when they weigh in?

I mean when I wake up I weigh 66kg but at the end of the day I can weigh about 68kg.

Those 2 kilos is a difference of being having a healthy BMI and a BMI which is overweight.

Of course my goal is about 10 kgs less but I was just wondering if people ignore the weight they are in the evening and just focus on what they weigh in the morning or even the other way around?

Thanks!!!

I weigh myself every morning, after having a pee, naked, before I get in the shower (Naughty daily weighing, I know  )

I try not to step on the scales at night, because it's so depressing when I weigh 2 kilos heavier than I did at the start of the day. I'm on cloud nine if I reach a weight that I haven't been at in a while and it makes me happy and motivated to keep going.

So yeah, I'm a morning weigher

i'm the same as you, nay! only once a week and in the morning after wees and before eating. it's the most accurate! drinking water is weight in the body and i think weighing after a day of food and everything can distort it.

I definitely agree, its too depressing at night.

In the morning its like woohooo I am closer to my goal. At the end of the day it is like, are you kidding me?!?!? Back here?!?!?

Or is that just me?

i guess it doesnt matter as long as you weigh yourself the same time each day.... then you can compare any weight loss...

I do mine in the mornings too in my undies lol.

Sometimes i cant help but stand on the scales in the arvos or evenings and it usually does vary from my morning weigh in but just stick to one time if you can.
Current weight: 64.2kgs
Goal weight: 60kgs

Ok so my Sydney trip is over and I've reached 64.2kgs - my next weigh in is in 2 weeks time so that whatever damage I did in Sydney will be done and dusted! I would love to lose 4.2kgs by Xmas time and I guess thats where my new goal begins :)

I find measurements change too. If I measure myself first thing in the morning then again at night its different and not generally in my favour. I think thats a gravity thing though :(
