My daily intake

Postby Etch » Wed Feb 04, 2009 7:54 pm

Breakfast: All Bran Wholegrain with dried fruit bits mixed in, with Skim milk

Morning tea: low carb, low sugar protien bar, Bannana, peach or necterine or an apple

Lunch : 4 bean salad with tuna ( In spring water )

Afternoon tea : Low carb, low sugar protien bar

Dinner: Wark chicken breast salad or seamed veggies, or subway etc.... something light and full of veggies

I also take betacarotene, which is a Vitam A suppliment, and a multi vitamin. Also i drink about 5-7L of water a day. Just curious on what you guys think about my current meal plan. Im also curious about the second protien bar. It definatly makes me feel fuller for longer but is it doing more damage then good? Even though they are low carb/sugar they are still high in Kj's, aroung 950ish each. A mate of mine is a personal trainer and said that protien is a must when it comes to loosing weight and building that muscle mass.

My exercise is pretty good. 2 7k walks that take about an hour each.I'm trying to get back into jogging as well, but with the heat recently its been hard. Out of the 10k's i was able to do 6 months ago, i can only do about 3-4k atm. well a combination of the heat and the decrease in my cardio since i stopped jogging. <==( Big Mistake ) I also work as a storeman in a supermarket. So I am on my feet running around a storeroom all day lifting bending and stretching for 8hours 5 days a week.

Do you drink that much water because your thirsty or because he just keep telling yourself you need to drink water? Drinking too much water can lead to water retention and other health issues- my uncle had really bloated legs becuase he was drinking too much water- it caused a few health issues for him. I dont know if too much water has any effect on weight loss and what is classed as too much so dont know if 7L is too much or not- just a thought

I drink a 1.5l bottle during the walk to work, 2x 1.5l bottles during the day at work, a 1.5l on the walk home, and a 1.5l at home. I drink that much because i am sweting allday long. I drink because i am thirsty, even drinking this much my mouth is still dry and parched all day.

If your drinking because your thirsty then your body is needing it I guess. I am surprised you are still thirsty even with that much water, but I guess at the end of the day water is healthy and so much better than drinks like coffee (my addiction).

Are you drinking water or other fluids ?.

Its just that when I was up there at 188kg I drank 1.5litres at most, perhaps another 1litre more when I exercised. If it was diet coke (or normal coke) I could happily chuck down a few litres thanks to taste and caffiene but water no way.

I would really suggest seeing someone about your fluid intake, its worth the 20minutes and $20 or whatever just to make sure but its not normal to need that much fluids. I understand your sweating but your walking and working, but I highly doubt you would be sweating out enough to warrant the 7litres every single day.

It's all water mate, and i only drink that much while i am working/working out. On the weekends when i take an easy, i would be suprised if i drink 2l. And its not just sweat mate, your body burns water like it does food during the day. It's not a medical issue mate. But cheers for the concern

From memory, you have a very physical job Etch, is that right? You're not sitting at a desk chugging back all that water?
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

I work running a recieving bay in a shopping complex. I handle about $100,000-$150,000 worthe of stock personally everyday. And let me tell you, thats alot of llifting. Not to mention carrying all that stock from the back of the store to the various departments in the store. So i am on my feet running around, lifting and unloading trucks allday by hand. Its very physical
