san, it's a stupid ridiculous flaw with the site. us mods can't touch anything in the 12 week challenges section.
they really should change that.

Ahh. Cool. I couldn't risk taking a peek given the titles. The other day I ran into a terrible series of images and I worried this spammer might be posting along similar lines.

There is more of this crap on this morning- not as much as days gone by but enough to irritate me to the point that I will no longer be comming back. I really dont need to deal with that! I have not seen any messages from the makers of this site saying they are looking at options just all the lovely mods who seem to be fighting a losing battle and they should not have to do that every day. So I give up. Not on my weight loss but just on getting the support I needed from here- I am a member of a fantastic weight loss group which is MUCH more than just a forum- everyone is friends and meet regually, the makers of the site get on and chat and support and if there is anythingwrong with the site one message and they look at the problem- they have even changed the look of their site based on what members say about it. So I will stay there for support.

I wish you all the best in the world and belive that you will all do great- Shalimar you have really enspired me, your journey has been a long one but you keep pushing forward so I know that I can do it to. EWQ you have given plenty of great advice so thank you. And thank you everyone else for your support.

Sorry to see you go, Nick. I understand your reasoning but that doesn't make me any less sad that you won't be here any more. I hope that one day we meet again, whether it's on this forum again after they sort these rotten spam issues out, or on another forum somewhere online. I've really appreciated your advice since you've been a member of this forum. You're full of helpful information and I really enjoy reading your posts.

Good luck with your journey! I'm glad you've found another online forum that will give you support. It's a much better option than trying to go it alone. We're definitely going to miss you.

*Hugs*,

If any one wants to become a mod to help out, just PM admin.

That's how I became a mod.

I don't come on here much anymore with the whole time difference thing and my weight loss is on hold for the moment.

But definitely ask Scott to become a Mod.

i'll become a mod if i have the power to delete users... they're so damn easy to spot. Pointless having an army of users that want to ENJOY the forum AFTER the spam.

I've been on every day, deleting so much spam that I don't even have time to write my own posts or read and reply to many others!

So everyone out there, email Scott and ask to be a mod! And ask for power to ban users or else we need a better verification system for new users. It's utterly ridiculous!

i'm the same, i'm on 3 or times a day deleting spam when i could be doing other things. i take offense to what you said gordz, we DO care, and we delete majority of it - but tehre are some parts of the forum we can't touch - which is where the undeleted spam is at the moment. the other mods do a great job at deleting as much spam as they can too. a little tact would be nice, we're trying our hardest.

very sorry lexi, by mods i meant global mods, admins... those that are responsible for the duty of gatekeeper. Deffinately not the 'user mods' I refer to. misunderstanding there.

I PMed admin and requested moderator status. I'm here several times a day so it's about time I earned my keep.

I also reiterated some of the ideas floated in this thread, such as the need for access to the 12 Week Challenge section, the ability to ban users, and the quarantining of first posts of new members.

sounds good EWQ. I think if all those things were implemented we'd have a pretty kickass forum
