Remember that wedding in Italy I spoke of laste last year?!?

Postby Hayley » Wed Jun 21, 2006 12:48 pm

Does anyone remember that wedding in Italy I spoke of late last year/early this year? Our friends were getting married in a small village called Titignano, in Umbria. My goal was to lose 23kg for the special trip and we were so excited to be going.

Well, that wedding I spoke of....the one where they had booked out the entire village for 3 days.....that's tomorrow and I'm so very sad to say that I'm not there and I didn't even lose any weight, instead I've put about 4kg on.

They get married tomorrow and our financial situation unfortunately didnt allow us to go over to celebrate with them. It's such a shame cos they're very good friends - he was our best man at our wedding. We were so excited about going over for the event, too. It's just not fair!

Thanks for listening to me whinge - needed to get that off my chest.

That's no good that you get to miss the wedding and I'm hoping you getting it off your chest made you feel a bit better even if only a little. Drink a toast to them anyway.

Don't feel too bad about the weight, you don't get to 'miss' out on that too. You will definitely be there when you get to that goal. :D

Big Hugs to you Hayley,
I know how excited you were to be at that wedding, I'm sure they'll understand your plight.
It's never the end, perhaps your goal can now be to go to their first childs christening :D

Too bad you couldn't go Hayley, but I'm sure you'll get another opportunity for an overseas experience and you'll get to your goal! you've just got to keep at it!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
