When do you actually take the pill?

I think the earlier in the morning you take it the better chance you are of getting a good night sleep.

I was told to take them early in the morning. I am always up and out of bed by 6-7am so i take it around the 7am mark. I havent had any issues getting to sleep. I also burn alot of energy during the day through exercise which i think helps

Good luck.

G'Day!

My first post here, and tomorrow is my first day on my new weight loss journey with Reductil. I am hoping to post my progress here for others who are interested in the use of Reductil.

Wish me luck!

My bf takes this and he's also had sleep problems. He was advised to take it in an hour after waking up in the AM, but still... ever since he started with this, he just can't sleep! I guess it's (one of) the curse that tags along with the drug. But I must say it's really helping him lose weight!

Hiya,
This is my experience with Reductil
Sleep
I lost alot of weight using reductil. Firstly, I had to take it anywhere upto around 11am. If I took it after then, I couldnt sleep and it didn't stop my appetite at lunch time. After being on it for a couple of weeks, all this settled down and I really lost my appetite. Also, if it keeps you awake, I didn't feel tired as a consequence. You can trick reductil though, and overeat, so it really needs to go with a lower calorie plus exercise regime.

Its an antidepressant.
Most doctors will tell you its an antidepressant. Because I wanted to lose weight without reductil, I felt by then (after my first 10 kilos) that I could do it on my own. It was hard to come off and I was very teary and felt 'hormonal' for about a week. It also made me feel like my body was on 'speed' and that's another reason I stopped it.

All up, I think it was damn fantastic for giving me a good start at losing weight, and I implemented what I learnt to continue losing. I guess you have to weigh up what suits you... the positives of good weight loss but negatives of a 'speedy' and 'hormonal' feeling. I loved the results, but I've been there, done that and ticked it off and now I'd rather do it without the use of a drug.

Hrm, I've considered weight-loss medications and antidepressants.. but I haven't asked my doctor about them because of the fact that they tend to keep people awake.

Are there any other medications like Reductil that can do the same thing without involving even more insomnia?

I used Reductil for two months with a calorie controlled diet and at least 6km of high energy walking a day. I am also vegetarian. I lost no weight. The drug may work for some but not for all. I read about this later on other forums and I wish I knew before I spent so much money.

Hi Kiya, that sucks about not having lost any weight. I'm 163cm and started at 75kg so am pretty similar to you. What are you trying now? I was on Duromine and lost 9kg in about 2 months but its pretty much the same as reductil. I'm at a standstill now though and still have 11kg to lose. Have you tried mixing up your exercise? Or running instead of walking?

I am doing the Lemon Detox diet & I know it is pretty full on but I personally know people who have lost 9kgs in a week!
I am on day two of the diet and no change in weight but I will keep trying another few days see if any weight comes off.
I was told by my specialist the reason I cannot lose weight is due to toxin build up and congested lymphatic glands.
This diet is supposed to clear all of those issues up: *no advertising please*

The lemon detox diet is a crazy idea. You lose muscle, hydration and your sanity. The minute you get off it whatever you lost plus more will pile back on.
Magic tricks dont work, try all the big name diets in the world but it all comes down to eating less and moving more.

It is working great! 3kg loss in 4 days plus I am exercising and getting firm at the same time.

I checked out the Lemon Detox Diet with my doctor, naturopath, and dietitian and they all think it is a great idea to fast for 7-10 days. Cultures around the world have known this for thousands of years and continue to do it in modern times. The body needs time to detox and repair... not constantly have food shoved in it.

The Lemon Detox Diet isn't some new 'fad' as this particular method has been around for 60 years.

As I said... I lost a dress size in 4 days... without any chemicals like Reductil... without harmful additive... just good organic lemons, organic maple syrup, herbal tea and lots of spring water. People can eat whilst doing this detox if they wish (recipe suggestions in the book). However I want fast results so I opted for the pure master cleanse. And it works!
