Postby amouse » Fri Apr 10, 2009 3:46 pm

Ok im having one of those days where im really tired and feel like crap... im almost certain hormones are to blame.. since im also bloated cranky and have a headache..

3 creme eggs plus a large pack of chips... some one shoot me.. why the hell did i do that??? arrghhh

so anyway i want to know what i can use for a pick me up instead of the food porn mentioned above... my week started out good and then slowly got worse until today .. i have blown 1476 cals and only had breakfast and junk...

what helps with the pmt blues for you?? i know its too late today but ... tommorow i beleive ill be feeling the same so.... i want a plan of attack.. what will give me the energy boost i so desperatly crave today?

I tryed to exercise but ended up just sitting on the floor watching the dvd.. not actually doing it... all my muscle felt tired.. lol so yup im a bit of a state today ..... hmmm ..

I agree with you - this is a risk time for me too. I usually schedule outings / activities so I know I have to be busy and can't binge. I ring up a friend and plan something so I have something other than food on my mind. Spending time with friends always picks me up! :D

low fat ricotta with honey can help with the sweet cravings when feeling low. It's low fat, low calorie and high protein. But, it's either something you love or hate. Personally, I'm in the love category :)

I think the idea is not to use food as 'comfort'. I know I need to get out of this habit and replace it with a healthy habit - the one most recommended is exercise - like going for a walk! I know that's not what you feel like though. I have heard that banana's are feel good food though - maybe give those a try :D

Oh damn. I feel like that almost every day (sometimes only every second day though) and eat some not so healthy food. But the way I think of it is you need to have some fattening foods every now and then, it is probably healthier than just eating healthy all the time! And if your body gets used to these kinds of foods every now and then, when you do finish your weightloss journey and go back to eating more relaxed (srsly who wants to just eat health food all their life?) your body will be accustomed to it. :)

Good luck and hope tomorrow is a better day for you!

i guess we just have to take one day at a time, one meal at a time.... its the only way... if we see it as such a huge goal i guess we might feel overwhelmed and then it doesnt happen for us... i am guilty of this myself. So if we feel like we have stuffed up, I guess instead of thinking "oh well I have ruined today I might as well start tomorrow" we can start right from that moment to turn it around, otherwise it just becomes a justification for eating more.
Not that I take my own advice most of the time, but anyway... x
