Weight loss and breastfeeding

Postby Neptune2 » Thu Dec 03, 2009 9:50 pm

I'm breastfeeding my 6 month old and up until now, it has been responsible for helping me lose 22kg of baby weight. Now, I've stopped losing weight and need to kick in with the exercise/eating side of things! Does anyone know how many kj's I need to consume whilst breastfeeding to lose weight (and wont effect my milk supply?) I'd appreciate any advice you've got to give!

I suggest you join this site.

You fill in a profile and the will tell you how many Cals u should need. It will also generate a meal plan as well if you need it.

And welcome to the site!!

I've been there and done it, the best advice I can do is to eat when your hungry but make sure you make the right choices. Pick fresh foods, and you will be fine. :) I'd eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day and you will find you will have no milk supply issues. :)
Goal for 2016:
Current weight: 94 kilos
Starting weight: 102.5 kilos
Goal #1: 92 kilos
