Hey girl!
Just a question, out of interest, I have noticed that you drink chai tea. What is it, and what are the benefits? I mean, do you drink it because its calming or something, or do you just like the taste? I had never heard of it before I read your daily food diaries... hope you dont mind my being nosey! :P xxx

Hi Chubbybubby I don't mind you being nosey at all!! :P I am a bit of a treacle beak myself!! LOL

I buy the Lipton Chai Tea (20 bags for $3.99) it is to use the words on the box "a unique belnd of tea and exotic spices". To be honest I really like the flavour!! The spices are cinnamon, ginger and clove. You can add milk for a chai latte. I am not sure if there would be health benefits or not. I find that it is just a nice refreshing change to normal tea. I did notice last week that there is now a Lipton Green Chai Tea, so I will be trying that one too...will let you know how it goes.

I had been buying the chai caramel tea in the sachets, but although low in calories (63 calories per sachet) I found that it still added a fair bit onto my daily allowance, so when I found these ones at only 9 calories per bag, I was happy with that.

Give them a go if you like the spices mentioned above. They smell divine when you are brewing them!! Sorry for rambling!

Hi Fairie, do you sweeten your green tea at all?? I was somewhat put off by green tea as the first time I had it, it hit the back of throat!! I will be trying the Chai Green Tea now though, but I will add 1/2 tsp sugar or honey to it.

Hi Ally. I drink green tea and haven't felt the need to sweeten it. But if you need the sweetness, I'd go with the honey rather that sugar... I read somewhere about a bloke who was over 100 years old and he was saying that he credits his long life and good health to having a teaspoon of honey every morning.

Hi Ally,

Like Garfield I haven't felt the need to sweeten Green Tea either. I also have a lot of the Green Tea & Peppermint one but I have yet to try the one with Jasmine.
