Rewarding Yourself

I have just committed to this weight loss journey again and am hoping to get some opinions/advice on this.

I historically have always rewarded myself with food (or alcohol!!) when I achieve something or are celebrate something (and not surprisingly also when something goes wrong!) What I am looking for is alternative ways that people 'reward' themselves for their weight loss achievements, I am trying to get out of the mindset that food and alcohol is a reward for something... but I also like to do something to keep me motivated.... I personally dont like getting pampered in any way and am single with no children, plus have very limited friends in my new town.

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated!!! :-D

buying smaller size clothes is reward enough for me! :D I think maybe for every kg you put $10 aside? I am sure there is something you could think of when you get to goal that you could spend that money on! 8)

Hehe, I dont particularly like clothes, shoes or shopping either.... however I LOVE the idea of $10 per kilo to purchase something, rewarding and motivating!!

It is really nice that you have to reward your self sometimes, the only thing you need is mind conditioning and discipline to yourself

im putting away $10 per Kg for new cloths and when I get to my first 10kgs im getting a pedicure second 10kgs its a new white gold bracelet
SW 110.9kgs

First mini goal - 100kg
GW 70kgs
Goal size 12
If you dont know where your heading, you might just end up someplace else

Might not be for everyone but I like the idea of putting some money aside for each kilo lost and donating it to your favourite charity. Not only is it tax deductible, but it is really worthwhile knowing you have helped yourself (by losing weight) and someone else by making a donation! If you don't have a charity of choice, the following have a bit of a synergy with weight loss/struggles with food.
- addiction treatment (for me food is an addiction)
- organisations promoting healthy self esteem and body image in women/girls
- donating to a community/child in a developing country where food is scarce
- buy groceries to donate to your local foodbank (there is bound to be one where ever you live - often run by church groups)

etc, etc, etc....

Each to their own but I think this is a good reward :)
