On a recent trip to the library, I came across a book by Michelle Bridges called Crunch time and I was wondering if anyone else had come across the book. By the number of dates stamped in the book, it seems to have been popular.
The book seems to be quite full on, esp compared to CK website. (I think I have hit a plateau, so thought I'd try something fresh)
The food and training schedule looks ok, although I'm not too sure if I'll ever be able to run, (does a shuffle count? ) something she suggests to do.
So I was left with a few questions:
has anyone tried her approach and how did they find it?
does anyone recommend her approach? not recommend it?
if you were trying this, are you still? did you form the new habit after 12 weeks?
Her regular food intake recommendation (for maintenance) is around 1200-1500 calories for females. To me, this seems low, so did you find that you continued to lost weight if you continued following her approach? or did it work out ok?
Also in general, has anyone used heart monitors to calculate calories used? do they work better than the standard tables or are they same, same but different?
