Well, it's Friday morning and I'm feeling on track and refreshed. Even though I didn't lose as much as I'd hoped this past week, I still only have 9.5kg to go, which I'm really happy about. I'd really like to achieve that by Christmas day and I'll try really hard to make that happen. However, if it takes a week or two longer, well that's not that bad, 'cos in total I still would have lost 25kg by the time I'm finished. That's a great amount to lose so I'll still be happy.

Mum is going well, hubby is going well and my newly joined aunty and grandmother are both doing really well on their 3rd day of TF today. Go the girls in my family & of course my hubby too.

LOL - thanks Kate. Yeah - I'd love to look 'hot' on Christmas day, ha ha ha. You'll definitely be at goal by Christmas, you're doing so very very very well. Will you re-evaluate your goal when you hit 70kg or are you happy to stay at that weight when you reach it?

if i get below 70 by xmas ill keep going until i feel happy with where i am. if i havent reached it by xmas i will continue after christmas, i am just looking forward to having a nice break on chirstmas day :) my BMI shows that i need to be about 65kilos but i will see how the weight sits with me. i like to have a bit of meat on me so we will see. :P

will you keep going once you reach your goal? or will you start maintenance then?

Hi Kate,

I'm still not sure to be honest. My goal is 68kg but I'll see what I look like when I get to that. I might try for 65kg but will not go below that. I think it would be too small for my height (5 foot 10). If I'm happy at 68kg, then I will start maintenance then. If not, I'll continue until I get to 65kg and then start maintenance. I guess it's hard to say without seeing what we actually look like at that weight hey? I can't remember the last time I weighed 68kg! LOL

I agree you have both done so very well, your focus and determination are an inspiration to us all. It's great that you've both done this on different plans which just goes to show it really is about what works for you. Keep up the great work! :D

I agree Kate, I think support and encouragement will still be needed. Maintenance is as important a part of the journey as the weight loss itself. I was thinking of a maintenance ticker...something that charts how long you have maintained your goal weight or dress size or whatever your ultimate goal is.

Sorry for butting in guys, but I think that is a great idea Kim. It will give everyone the encouragement to keep going as their goals are achievable.

oh and I agree about the comparison between different people and their chosen method for losing weight too, spot on Kim!!

I think it is great that you guys will hang around and still give motivation!! Thanks guys!!
