Hi guys,

Wow! I feel as though I've been away from this site for ages ..... but it's only been a few days! I've missed it!!! I got a bit upset last week cos my weight kept creeping up even though I was following the program. I've worked it out to be the dinners I was cooking - too much soy sauce must have been making me retain fluid! The same thing happened to my hubby and now we've been cooking with the soy sauce, we're losing weight again.

Mum's doing great 4.8kg already in 12 days, so she's wrapped!!! Not sure about my aunty and grandmother. Will email them shortly. I really hope that TF works for my nan, as she's battled with her weight for so long. She has a thyroid condition and even when she's been put on the strictest diets, she's put on rather than lost. She even put on weight when her doctor tried her on the Greenlane's diet (hospitals use it on overweight patients before theyr go into surgery). So, I'm crossing my fingers that it works for her.

I have 8.8kg to go until I'm at goal, and I'm so very excited about it. I really couldn't have got this far without the support of all you fabulous members of this weightloss forum. So, a huge THANK YOU to you guys! xxx

Hi hayley

was just thinking about you and how you were going with your weightloss. you weigh day is thursday isnt it? sometimes when we have put on weight we need to sit and think of what it could be. i probably wont lose this week due to having my day off on saturday! and i havent exercised! its good that you thought of what the problem was with the soy sauce. too much sodium! im sure you are back on track now though. keep going you are doing so well!!

and THANKYOU! for being so inspirational!~

Well done Hayley we missed ya too and well done for figuring out how to improve your strategy. Don't you just feel in control when you can pinpoint it like that and then take steps to make it better.

Hey Hayley I am glad you worked out what was making you gain. If it is any help you can get a reduced salt soy sauce, but I would say you would still have to use it in moderation.

I am glad the scales are coming down again for you and hubby and congrats to your mum!! I hope that your aunt and grandmother are doing well too!!

Good on you mate you are doing such a fantastic job!!

HI guys, thanks again!!!!!!!!! Still no word from my aunty and nan, but I'm sure they're doing great on TF.

I think I'll have to try to take some updated pics, now that I've lost 16.2kg. I wonder if you'll be able to notice much of a change....I think the last ones I posted weer after 9.5kg and 12.5kg loss. We'll see, I'll try to put them on here today.

Your whole family is doing so well Hayley, you'll be at goal in no time.
I'm glad you discovered it was the salty soy that delayed the weight coming off.
keep up the great work.

Thanks Dolly!

Well, my scales have been doing strange things this past week and a half :? . Hmmmm, not sure what's going on there. My weight keeps going up and down but my measurements are going down, so that's good. I lost 700g this week and I'm happy with that. I lost: 1cm off my waist, now down to 86cm; 1cm off my chest, now down to 97cm; my hips are the same, 105cm; 0.5cm off my upper arm, now 31.5cm; 1cm from my thigh, now 60cm; 0.5cm from my calf, now 40.5cm; my ankle stayed the same, 26cm; my body fat has gone down from 35.3% to 34.3%, which is great considering when I started TF my body fat was 42%! My body watre has increased to 46.9%, which is excellent as when I started TF, I was lucky to get my body water above 43%.

My grandmother emailed this morning and lost 2kg in her first week. I'm really happy for her, as she had problems with her thyroid/metabolism and even when she's been put on hospital diets, she has always gained weight! She's also been stressed out organising a funeral and Melbourne Cup luncheon - they live in a retirement village and are the heads of the social committee and are always busy or have lunches/dinners on. So, I think she's done remarkably well, to have lost wieght even with stresses and lunches and still organising the Melbourne Cup do for the village for next week.

Haven't heard from my aunty as yet, but I think her weigh-in is today.
