How to ween oneself off flavoured milk and/or coffee?

Postby yogibbear » Tue Jun 28, 2011 2:49 am

Okay... I think I need to cut coffee out of my daily diet... it seems to be the only remaining bad actor in my list of things I have in a week. At the moment I might have a cup of tea in the morning, 1 x coffee at 10.30 ish at work, another cup of tea ~ 1.30pm. Then another coffee at about 2.30pm. Then I might have another cup of tea at 4.30pm. Go home from work at about 6pm. Exercise between 6.30 and 7.30pm. Have dinner. Then have another cup of tea around 9pm.

That's:
4 cups of tea
2 coffees

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder I'm a fattie.....

Might be the final area of fail in my sugar intake for the day.

Any tips?

I feel like a need a caffiene patch or something to get off the addictive, or like a constant supply of cocaine. I swear if I try to stop drinking coffee I'll just replace it with an even more horrible habit.

Oh btw I use skim milk and don't take any sugar already. So... that's not going to help.

Coffee and tea isn't fattening (only about 10 Kj per serve). The milk is.
Try putting less milk in and letting the tea or coffee cool down to compensate.

Maybe try a coffee substitute such as Bambu (it has acorns, chickory, barley - rather nice).

If you're saying espresso shots are OK, i'm totally subconsciously just going to end up having 5 of those a day....

Duromine has stopped my intake of coffee....also made me not feel like drinking as much as usual.

Well its either the Duromine or I have discovered self discipline
