What are the benefit of bodyweight exercises?

Hello there,

I am 13 years old , I am running every day five kilometers , I heard that under 16s shouldn't lift weights so I do body weight exercises ,

If you have any ideas for exercise please help me?

Hi there, Google Unique Body Weight Exercises. It's a website with heaps of exercises that will allow you to build your own program. I think you will find it helpful.
The other thing you might want to consider is purchasing some workout dvds that will teach you different exercises for different muscle groups and will also make your workouts a lot more fun. There are heaps of body weight only workout dvds, but to tell you the truth, I think you would be fine lifting light weights. At the end of the day, in some body weight only exercises, like chin ups, you are lifting your entire body weight, so that is a lot more than using some 3kg dumbbells to do biceps curls!

I guess you're too young my dear. You may want to try game consoles and play boxing, tennis, or dance games. In this way, you're like exercising and at the same time, you're still enjoying childhood. You can also sign up for dance classes. Or swimming lessons. :D
