Hi, I am new on here but when i was on the biggest loser site we had this thread on the forrum and really miss it so thought i would see if i get any interest here. We used it to post our exercise and calories for the day, and to support and motivate each other. Was a great thread and hope it will take off on here :)

Today 30 mins treadmill walk jog = 275 cals
Off to ride the horse this arvo so should burn a few more cals then.

Might motivate me more to ensure I don't skip exercise if I know I have to 'report' it lol.

Sundays are my day off from gym and running but I do a 8 or 9 km walk rather than nothing. I only allow Friday as a do nothing at all day.

Its raining here but I will be waiting for it to stop and when it does I'll be out there moving my size 11/12 arse!!

Welcome to the forum :)

I usually use other sites to officially track my daily diet/exercise (like www.myfitnesspal.com), but I think the idea of starting a thread here is a good idea!

Today I swam and burnt 548 calories. I'm a little jealous you get to include horse riding, I used to have horses and ride quite a lot, and I really miss it!

Well..

I am not going to shock anyone with any great exercise feats.. am just starting out and get quite puffed fast.

So anyway - today I
-rode exercise bike for 10 minutes...130kcal
-cleaned all my fans and scrubbed the floors (thought I could kill 2 birds with one stone) - 1hr...337kcal
- played catch with my daughter for 15 minutes... did 5 minutes - left handed, then right handed, then both hands hoping it helps with arm toning -lol

Morning :) , Thankyou to all of you for joining me, great to see so many faces!

Miss viva- I don't think I could survive without my horse, she is my sanity after all day with my 2 boys LOL. Have recently switched from dressage to endurance riding (big change) but it is great for the fitness, we are training for an 80km ride, lots and lots of trotting good for the stomach muscles. Great effort on you swimming calories.

Sugarandspice - Your doing plenty for someone who has just started, housework burns plenty of cals, especially scrubbing floors, and fans.

I was off to the gm early today

Cross trainer interval training 20 mins -201
weights 35 mins - 130
treadmill interval training walk/jog 20 mins - 276
Rowing machine 10 mins - 88
Total - 695 cal. Off to ride the horse tonight and clean paddocks.

Hi people! Im meeting my running group at 6pm for a 5km jog/run through the parks of Launceston!

WOOHOO!

I love running nights (Mondays and Wednesdays) almost as much as Gym sessions on Tuesday and Thursday nights and Saturday mornings :-)

Not sure how many kj I will burn!

3 hr house cleaning job today, 30 mins cleaning horse paddocks, 1hr gardening, don't know how many cals, time to relax for a bit till i have to pick up my 2yr old.

Horse riding is also great for toning the butt and the thighs... my main problem areas! Hmm, maybe I should invest in a horse instead of an X-box kinect? :lol:

I grew up with horses and spent many a weekend at gymkhanas. As I got older, I focused more on showjumping, but I also did a little dressage and one day events too. It was lots of fun, I really miss it. I had some friends that were into endurance riding and they loved it. I hope everything goes well for you!

More swimming today, I burnt approximately 548 calories today (according to My Fitness Pal).

Good Job on the calories burnt. And I think you should really start saving for your horse. :) But for now, an xbox or a Wii will do.

Went for a 20 minute walk today... with my sister - who walks VERY fast... I was trying to tell her something and just could not get my breath half the time... so had to shut up and just walk lol

Great job everyone on your cals, and reporting in!

Miss-viva, i agree with buying the horse :D , however might cost a little more to upkeep than a x box! Am loving the endurance, both horse and myself was getting bored with the arena work, love just getting out there and riding.

Got up early this morning before hubby left for work and went to the gym, great way to start the day

Cross trainer - 20 mins = 210
weights 30 mins = 186
Rowing 10 mins = 100
bike 20 mins = 193
Total 689
