While i haven't been having food cravings as such my brain is doing a weird thing atm.......i keep dreaming about food, mainly sushi?!?!?!? i wake up and think 'geez that was weird'. and the even stranger thing is im dreaming about food that i allow myself to have, not like 'naughty not have' food.

any psychologists in the house?????

Hi Deb, perhaps your body is low on iodine which is found in the kelp (seaweed) wrapping of the sushi.
Lack of iodine in the body may lead to thyroid problems, mental problems, hearing loss, and goiter.

Dolly, what other sources would you get iodine from if you didn't want to eat seaweed.

This is just a funny note to add...sometimes I'll have dreams in which I pig out on food. The whole time, I'm thinking, "Oh! I shouldn't be doing this!" Then, I feel so guilty in my dream and wake up so relieved knowing that it's a dream. :o) Anyone else ever have dreams like that?

Fairie, iodine is commonly found in soil. Countries that have a poor mineral soil often grow vegetables that contain little to no iodine sea food is rich in iodine.
Kelp vitamin tablets from the health food store and also iodised table salt can help with this problem.
I think Iodine is now added to some dairy products in places where iodine levels are dangerously low.
