Zelma you are one amazing woman

You should be so proud of your achievement and for inspiring some of us :D

Yes, I did read your story - it was long and gave me a few giggles - especially the kids telling you to drink water - reminded me of my kids watching my progress
Every day I am getting thinner and thinner.....

Thank you all for the wonderful comments.

Kate - Yep, I'm a primary teacher in Perth. The kids have been on TV and in the papers, so they are pretty proud of themselves.

Tiffany - The competition for Slimming and Health magazine started it all off, as they contacted the newspapers over here. My story started in one local newspaper, then it just kind of 'spread' to all sorts of places. I even ended up doing two stints on a Melbourne radio talk-back show. I didn't end up winning the competition (that's a WHOLE other story), but my aim for entering the competition was to 'get my face out there', and I think I have achieved that.

Jody - It took me two years and two months, and I've been able to pretty much stick with the same weight since mid-March 2006. It crept up a little bit over winter, but I'm hoping to get that off and perhaps a couple more kilos during this year. The pressure isn't on to do it, and other people tell me that I shouldn't lose any more weight, but I think I would be happier with a few kilos of 'breathing room'. I think my body will pretty much decide that for me though, so I'll keep doing what I'm doing and see what happens.

WOW ZELMA , IT'S REALLY YOU!!! [/center]

Welcome Zelma, I am just stoked to see you posting here among us. I sent Ally the link on the off chance that you may have been a "former" forum member, but I never thought I'd actually see you in here. That is just sooooo awwwwwwesome!!!
Image

Ally, thank you soooo much for making contact with Zelma. I had been wanting to email her directly myself, but was a bit hesitant and then of course, time escapes you. Well guess I won't have to now, SHE'S HERE AMONG US!!! YAY!!! Image

Zelma, you are a true inspiration and I am motivated every time I go back to your site (which is in my favourites) and if I am even remotely tempted to binge, I just have to look at your photos and it stops me dead in my tracks!!
I too lost 60kg once, in just 12 months many years ago, but alas I have put it all back on (and then some) since. Image

But I'm going to take it off again, and this time KEEP it off for good.

Thank you so much for joining us Zelma, and Ally, you're a star!! ;)
