Did anyone see Today Tonight last night?? They launched their 12 week program called Weight Loss Warriors with Guy Leech....it all looks quite interesting and here is the best part....it is free!! It is all about teaching us a healthy lifestyle and not a diet....I have signed up as I want to know more about it and see if there are ways that I can improve my daily diet.......check it out the website is http://www.yahoo7.com.au/todaytonight - then follow the prompts. The first week looks pretty basic, but I am just going to see what else I can do to shift this weight!

Hey Judy, yeah I thought it looked ok as it is all about teaching a healthy lifestyle not dieting....not that I am dieting, but I know I need to improve a lot of areas in my life and this looks like it has some good hints and tips!!

hey ally i had a look at it and i dont if anyone remembers the guy leech tip in kates daily tips from a couple of weeks ago where i said about making goals not just for your health but your life as well and i can see thats in the weightloss warriors plan as well. i think its important to make these goals and i like a lot of things that are included in the plan like getting out with the kids (i do this already but probably not enough) and family meetings etc. not that heidi can contribute verbally but i think its important that mick and i have a night each week to sit down and discuss certain things. so thanks for sharing that with us.

swimming was great fun. only half the group showed up though because of the weather :) heidi is getting better with lying on her back in the water now so that helps me out! ive had a few fists in the face

Thanks for the tip Ally. I know what you mean about dieting. I still have people say to me 'oh you are eating your diet food' and I have to correct them as I don't see it that way. Just because my diet consists of mostly healthy food doesn't mean I am on a diet. This is becoming a bug bear for me and I say to these people I haven't considered myself on a diet for quite some time, I just eat well. Grrr...anyway.

Glad Heidi is enjoying her swimming lessons Kate, it's great for kids to get in the water, they all seem to enjoy it so much.

Yeah I know what you mean Kim, it is really annoying when that happens!! I just don't think people can get their head around not 'dieting'.....I know it took me long enough to realise that dieting wasn't the answer!!

Yeah I guess that is a big part of it, just getting them confident in the water. That is great, gets you both out. :D
