Day 1 on TF

Postby Vegetable » Wed Mar 21, 2007 1:43 pm

Hey! :D soooo I weighed in this morning (damn was a little more than I thought I was, 102.8kgs) I feel pretty good, had the french vanilla shake for breakfast (they are Yummy! And surprisingly filling too!) and an apple and nearly all of my water.... I only have a mild headache, so hopefully I wont get too many withdrawrels (sp?) from all the junk and carbs.
OH! Have to say as well that after my "last meal" last night (pizza and ice cream and toast) I spent the entire night vomiting. I went to sleep, and woke up within an hour feeling really queasy. I spend the entire night running from bed to the loo.... not nice at all!
I feel great though, so we shall see!

Hey Vegetable -- I don't know anything about the Tony Ferguson thing -- what does it involve?

And all the best with it, whatever it is :)

The first day costs at the Chemist are
Registration $15.00 (you only pay this once) they weigh you and measure your waist for life with no extra charge.
Tony Ferguson program book $9.95
14 meal sachets (2 per day for a week) at $3.19 each = $44.66
TOTAL $69.61

After that you'll only pay $44.66 each week for your meals, measure and weigh-in.
TF brand extras that can also be purchased if you wish are Simply Fibre, Multi-Vitamins & Minerals, Bio-Chromium and a plastic TF shake cup.
The shake and soup flavours for you to choose from are:

Banana
Chocolate
English Toffee
Espresso
French Vanilla
Mocha
Strawberries & Cream
Wildberry
Asian Curry Soup
Creme of Chicken Soup
Mushroom Soup
Roast Pumpkin Soup

and there are some limited flavours as well which wont be out forever like mango and pina colada i think ...

(the above was taken from hayleys post http://www.weightloss.com.au/forum/view ... 71&start=0 ages ago)

basically you have a shake or soup to replace two meals per day. its a low carb programme that puts your body into ketosis. they give you a list of foods you are allowed to eat.

It would work, but I don't think that I could do that, a friend was on one of those programs she paid around $300 & had really bad side affects, including hair faling out, dizzyness, pale, luthargic all the time but she had to do it for 3 weeks as it was a birthday present from the family

Thankyou :D Great explanation of the program Kate!
Funny thing is, I would have NEVER been a meal replacement kinda girl either, I have always been totally against this type of thing. My issue is that I have got to the half way point with my weightloss, and my body just stopped. For the last 8 months, I have been between 98 and 102 kgs. No matter what I did (more exercise, more water, different exercise, different foods etc) my weight wouldnt go below 98 kgs. I started to get really down about all the effort I was putting in for not much results, which then led me to binging. (and I am, or should say was :P a MASSIVE binger) I feel good about this program because if I can lose the rest of the weight without such an emphasis on food (doing ww I was constantly thinking about food, counting points, weighing, measuring, planning, etc), and get to my goal weight, I am far less likely to binge because hopefully I will feel better about myself and the weightloss I have achieved. Did that make sense? LOL
Anyway, today is day 2, yesterday I had to go to bed at 8pm cos I have a massive headache and felt really weak from about 12 pm onwards. I have woken up today, and feel good! Really energised! I will go for a big walk today.... I just cant wait to weigh in on Wednesday! :D
