calorieking

Postby aramat1980 » Mon Apr 02, 2007 2:54 pm

Hi, I'm using calorie king more for counting the calories than their program whatever it is. But I have just noticed that as I record my weightloss, it's telling me I should lose 3.1kg in the next week. That's not good weightloss.?!

Has anyone else found them to be a little ridiculous with regards to expected weight loss?

As I said, not taking notice of that nonsense, just recording calories with them.

its not telling u to lose it in a week, its saying that its your next mini goal. each time u reach a 5kg loss it will give u a goal of another 5kgs

Got it in one Jewels...don't panic Tamara, if you have a look at where is says that you will see that it says you need to lose X amount to get to your mini goal and to do that you have X amount to lose!! It can be a bit confusing sometimes!

Okies Mandie and Kim...if you sign up for the free club online it asks you your weight and then it deducts 10% from that and that is your mini-goal to aim for....it is not on the downloads or the cd versions that you buy...it is just the online club....I joined up for the articles that you get...it is a great help and the info is really good value...you go through the "university" and each week gives you about 4-5 articles to read through (emotional eating, goal setting, foods etc) and then you answer a quiz which sees you into the folowing week...it used to cost something like 30 bucks a year but now it is free!! Well worth the lookie into.......

I find calorieking really frustrating to use

I count kilojoules so I use the nutritional panel of packaged food which is all kilojoule based, but I try to steer clear of as many packaged food as possible and go ah la natural. I carry around Allan Borushek's calorie counter book which is so much easier and less time consuming than having to go to calorieking.com

I love calorie king. I just find it has such a comprehensive database and I love that you can create custom foods. And it's free which is wonderful - I have spent so much on weightloss already, I'm really disinclined to keep forking out the dollars.
