Geez Kate, be glad that Mick got away from that situation...I can't believe that they would go out on a boat when they were intoxicated...it is just stupidity....

My Easter break went great socially, but crap eating wise!! I always enjoy going out to the farm...it is really relaxing, there is so much to do, but at the same time it just relaxes us to the point of not wanting to come home!! hhehe

glad everyone's break went well!!

My family gatherings usually have a mixture of food and other stuff.

I was really surprised and found it very hard to get used to my hubby's family as they literally sit down at the table for every meal. Even when they are away at their beach house.

My experience of being on holiday was get out of the house and eat if your hungry, but never cook a proper meal unless it's BBQ. Food was secondary to everything else.

Hubby's family have a sit down lunch and a roast dinner etc etc etc... I found it so hard becasue I was holiday and just wanted to go out!

I organised an annual family gathering for my extended family and we bought a massive rope to have a tug of war and footballs, cricket stuff, frisbies etc. It was the best day and food was really not the major part of the day.
Winners MAKE things happen,
Losers LET things happen.
