Well I just had an amazing breakthrough. I had a huuuuuge fight with my ex regarding changeover for the kids in the holidays, and I didn't turn to food.

After I calmed down a little (I had the shakes), I spoke to a friend on the phone, and he calmed me down a little bit more. Then I jumped on the exercise bike and peddled like mad for the last 30 minutes (I am now very sweaty). There are little chocolate easter eggs in the cupboard hiding for Easter Celebrations with the kids, and yes, I thought seriously about it, but I didn't go there.

I am just as proud as a rooster in the chook shed :D :D :D

GOOD ON YOU!!!

Wasn't it so much better getting out your anger on the exercise bike? Now instead of feeling horrible because you binged on chocolate, you feel fantastic!!!!

Well done!!! :D

Well done Judy - imagine how bad you would've felt afterwards if you turned to food. You would have been angry with your ex and angry with yourself. By getting all that anger out on the bike, you now feel that wonderful endorphine release. Way to go :D

That's awesome Judy! You didn't let your ex take your power from you. Go girl!

It's great that you feel good now, just remember how you feel now the next time you think about taking the other option.

Well Done.

Hey Judy.

That's great news. How fantastic is it that you turned your anger to something more productive rather than eating you way out of it. Paddling your frustration and anger out released all those feel good endorphins. Great work.

Thanks everyone. I am still angry with him, but I am over the wanting to eat thing now. Went for a walk this morning, and am getting a haircut at lunch time so I will be relaxed by this afternoon.

Well done Judy - what a great idea - to take your anger out on that bike instead.

Thanks guys. Hair ended up being shorter than last time. If I keep getting it cut every time I am cranky/down in the dumps I will end up with a crew cut  (mind you I had one of those about 20 years ago). I also got a bit excited because it was raining and I had to stay dry (in the shopping centre), and ended up buying 2 bras, 2 pair of nice undies and a pair of tights for walking. Broke now :( but I certainly had fun doing it - and my boobs will thank me for it I am sure

I will certainly enjoy them Kate. I never used to buy anything for myself, I would spend money on my kids, my husband, the house, even the cat before I spent it on myself. It is a bit of a trip to be able to pamper myself a little.

You certainly can call me Jude! Most of my friends do. Sometimes they even sing it badly, you know "hey jude, don't be afraid, take a sad song and make it better". Probably been quite apt lately.
