Beating the "EVIL" voice

Postby Kaz » Fri Apr 20, 2007 7:52 pm

I just managed to ignore my "evil" Kaz voice woo hoo......

Normally on a Friday night when I feel trashed (and I feel very trashed today. Left home at 5 am and got home at 2pm without having lunch and only stopping for 1 coffee  . Then had to go do Avon , I then got to sit down for about 3/4 hour before I had to go pick Dave up from work at 4.30pm) I go let's get take away.

Tonight I cam home chucked some potato's in the microwave and then cut them into wedges and put them into the oven to go crunchy and popped some steam fresh fish with thai coconut curry sauce into the microwave and chucked a quick salad together....

Yummy and only worth about 5 points for fish and chips

Yuuuummmm! and it sounds so much better than those stodgy, oily, stick straight on your thighs and make you feel like crap the next day, fish and chips. Not to mention that it probably took much the same time to cook it as it did to drive to the takeaway shop and wait for someone else to cook it.

Judy :D

Well done Kaz. I've got left over Shepherds pie tonight. Which I cooked myself last night and made it with not much fat etc. Normally friday night is a fairly easy food night, with take away being an often choice. But I decided I have to pull my finger out a bit and start making better choices a bit more cos I have been feeling a bit crappy since Easter. Bad food choices. Plenty of exercise but not good on the food. I'm not so worried about weight loss but I want to feel good and not a bit sicky all the time. Today has not been too bad but I know I will eat too much shepherds pie tonight cos it tastes good. all I can think is that it's fairly healthy. full of vegies!!! Keep up the graet work Kaz.

Well the verdict was it was absolutely scrummy yummy....... Dave had sour cream and sweet chilli sauce on his wedges but mine were naked

I love the Birds eye steam fresh fish fillets as they are handy to have in the freezer for a quick meal and as there is only the two of us it does not work out too expensive to buy fish that way. Got to admit we almost lived on them over the extremely hot weeks we had there for a while.... Our fave flavour is the thai coconut curry and the asian lime and chilli.....

That's great Kaz, it's great to have something easy to chuck together when you just can't be bothered.

That's me today, I'm hoping hubby feels like cooking.........

Well done on not getting the take away. You always feel better for it hey!
