Tea for weightloss

Postby dietcoke » Thu Apr 26, 2007 3:27 pm

Just wondering if anyone drinks those asian "slimmer's" teas? I drink a lot of green tea and think that aids digestion quite well but was wondering if anyone knew of any natural teas or herbs that are good for boosting metabolism, inhibiting water retention etc...? I just see those slimming teas everywhere but not sure if they're any good. What do you reckon?

From what i gather alot of them, especially the asian ones, are just a diuretic and just make you pee alot. I do the green tea thing too..

Green tea's addictive huh? When I first started drinking it I HATED it but knew it was good for me to decided to take on the "fake it 'til you make it" mentality (which is what I had to do with red meat when my iron levels were too low) and now I can't live without it. I have about 5 cups of it per day and MY GOD my bladder hates me for it. I never have time to get bored at TAFE 'cause I'm always running back and forth to the toilet so I guess it's good to break up my days a bit

hahaha i know what you mean, i keep tea bags in my purse, in the cupboard at work, at my parents... i dont like the taste either, so i have green tea with mint, or with jasmine, from the Lipton range. sooo much nicer!

I have tried one called Dieters Tea or Slimmers Tea (my girlfriend gave it to me). No joke - it gave me stomache cramps that led to the dreaded diarrhoea - at 2am in the morning. They are really bad - but give you a fantastic clean out believe me!!

The funny thing is that they suggest you take a cup after every meal - I took one cup at about 5.30pm and it did nothing to me until around 2pm. The cramps were herendous believe me. But if one did that to me - what would say three do to you?!?!?!?!?

Oh hehehe...thank god I asked in here first. Yeah not really looking to spend MORE time in the bathroom. I'd prefer the bladder bursting rather than anything else I think. Thanks guys!

I drink a herbal tea by Healtheries called naturally slim. One every day or so...tastes awful!
