Carol King Site

Postby Maraver » Thu May 10, 2007 6:39 am

I thought the Carol King site was brilliant what a wealth of information
my only concern was they gave me a calorie allowance of 1874 a day with 45 mins exercise, I think I will struggle with the exercise to start with so obviously I would have to reduce the calories and advice on what too, would you say that if I did half the exercise, I would reduce the calories by about 400/500
any advice I would appreciate, to me the calories I am allowed seems quite high

Many thanks
Pam

Sorry Pam, I can't help you either. I'm a regular on that site and their forums are quite good too. But I find I have trouble trying to reach my calorie allowance as I always seem to have a negative net calorie reading because of the amount of exercise I do! I worked my allowance out to be 1500 calories per day, and My exercise is around 2-3 hours per day which usually consists of two hours of tae bo and one hour of walking, which makes me end up consuming -250 calories!!! And I eat enough during the day and I don't want to just eat because my calorie thing tells me too as I don't feel hungry at all!! So yeah, I wouldn't be too strict with the site, just adapt it to how you like!! Good luck with it!! :D

Hey there if you cannot do the recommended exercise per day Pam, just go back into the beginning part and drop your exercise level to sedentry....this will give you lower calories per week, but should give you a starter on your exercise program....hope this is a help to you!!
