Today I am Moving On

Postby Maraver » Sun May 20, 2007 10:36 am

I have decided today I am going to move on,I think I have got my head around alot of stuff in the last couple of days thanks to some helpful comments on here

I am not going on a diet I am going to eat half of what I normally eat and exercise daily maybe not a lot at first but I am going to build up to a good work out, surely I will lose weight

How does that sound?
For breakfast Andy said shall we have cooked breakfast, and not want to disapoint him I said ok we had bacon scrambled eggs and toast normally we would have four eggs between us I just did three I had one slice of toast without any butter, two slices of bacon and tomato, maybe not the healthiest of breakfasts but its probably about half of what I would normally have.

Wish me luck as I wave my fat goodbye

Maraver the choice you have made about tackling your weight loss is fantastic. It will mean that you are getting off the vicious cycle of yo-yo dieting and incorporating good eating habits for the rest of your life. It's the only way it works. All the best.

Ps your breaky sounds yummy, minus the bacon can't stand bacon

i actually turned down a bbq breakfast this morning because we wanted to have a sleep in- non existant with a baby but im glad i turned it down.

well done pam. you need to make small changes over time for your body to really stick with it. eating half of what you usually eat is wonderful because you are still getting that treat but not gorging yourself. when you have a meal try and leave some on the plate. its hard especially if you were brought up like me with large portions and having to eat everything on my plate! but its good to start somewhere. also drink lots of water around meal times and during your meals to fill you quicker and put your knife and fork down have a sip of water and dont rush to to start shoveling it back in again :)

Good on you, Pam. You can do this. Lots of little steps = big changes.
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

I feel I have done really well today we had lunch just a sandwich and black coffee foe me before we did the shopping, I actually did a menu for the next two weeks and we did the shopping accordingly I am sure we will save money too, we had lamb Chops only one for me, potatoes again only one for me sprouts carrots and peas, I had plenty of the veges and one glass off wine.

I like this idea of eating half of what I usually eat

I am very proud of myself today
