What is there to know about Xenical?

Is it worth me asking my doctor about it?

Been there... Done that!

If there was a magic pill that worked there would not be any obese or overweight people in the world... And Oprah Winfrey (who literally has the money to try anything) would not have consistant trouble with her weight.

It's all about diet and exercise - the old fashion way!!!

Ok here are some but there are more...

In the Weight Loss Talk section - the name and author

I'm doing it the x-plan way - zojo
diet pills - CMS
Xenical - Nikki1983
Xenical Weight Loss Medication - Millie

In the Diet Talk section

Okay in need of quick advice - zojo

there are some others, just go to the search section at the top of your page and type in the word "xenical" and it will return some others on the topic as well. 8)

hehe.. yeah the deal with Xenical is that it basically makes your body intolerant to fat.. so you get the runs (icky smelling, floaty, runny, frequent poo) when you eat fatty food

the idea is that
a) you dont digest the fat, so you dont get those calories
b) you "learn" not to eat the fatty food so you dont get the consequences

but the problem is that you have gross diarrhoea... to get your fatty food fix you just dont take the tablets, so it doesnt work as a lifestyle change (unless you take xenical forever)... and you will get dehydrated and lose precious electrolytes and nutrients because the runs is NOT GOOD FOR YOU!

Xenical sounds absolutely awful!!!! You'd have to be on pills forever to maintain your weight!! It's not worth it!! I'm so grossed out!!! :x

Xenical basically sums up everything wrong in western society today.

been there, done that , makes u poo everything , not a good look when u r on the road with work all day , it works in the way that it teaches u to not eat fat as when u have a bowel movement it will be basically fluid, it is not a short term thing and not cheap , on ave, $100 per month and would take 2 years for any thing over 25 kilos to lose. not cost effective at all

GPs I have sat with recommend it as an adjunct to a weight loss program, not an answer! They say to take it if you know you will be eating out/tempted by the wrong foods - so you will not destroy the hard work so far....

My understanding is that it stops the absorption of fats from your diet, and these continue through to your poo. I have seen some people who swear by it, and have had great success using it in this way.
