Make yourself a Jarrah hot choccie, i'm about to. Want one? :P

But seriously, do you have any low fat & low cal snacks on hand so you can partake socially but not blow your daily calorie limits?

Part of this journey is the challenges we're thrown. You can't avoid temptation forever, but if you don't feel you can have them in front of you, then remove thyself from the situation. Your housemates don't sound particularly supportive of your weightloss efforts. Have you talked to them about this? Are they trying to sabotage you? Or are they just having a friday night indulgence?

No I dont think its that at all.... Friday night junk is tradition here, so i think me boycotting it is more inconsiderate on my behalf then theirs.

Not fun living in a house full of skinny people :(
