Having a Personal Diary

Postby Dolly » Mon Jan 02, 2006 2:09 pm

How many people here (who are really serious about losing weight and are planning on staying here long term) would be interested in having their own Personal Diary Page set up for them?

In this Diary Page you'd be able to document your daily exercise, calorie intake, emotions, etc. Other people will be able to read your diary but will not be able to post on it.

If you are interested in having one of these personal diaries with your name on it, simply place your name below. It's still all in the theoretical stage at the moment but Scott needs to know if there's an interest in such an undertaking.

A huge thank you goes out to Scott who has volunteered to try and make this all possible for us.

I was doing this on just a word document, but I found it was easier to do on line. It might free up some space on the forum too.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

"You can't change the winds, but you can change the sails"

"Reach out and take control of what lands in your lap"

Sounds good

Postby Lesley » Thu Jan 05, 2006 10:29 pm

Sounds good. I suppose we'd be pouring our hearts out to the diary page rather than the forum. But I definatley would like to record my weekly loses and daily exercise and food intake.

Personal Diaries Progress

Postby Scott » Sat Jan 07, 2006 9:07 am

Hi guys,

the personal diaries "forum" has been set up.

Each of you will need to visit this new forum and register as users and then let me know you have.

Once you have registered, I will unlock your personal diary and set the appropriate permissions for you to begin recording your weight loss journey.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks so much Scott,
I have just registered
and Logged in
and saved the page to Favorites.
and am awaiting having my diary unlocked.

Are others able to read our diary stuff? I hope so. I would love to snoop in on how my friends are managing and progressing.

I've noticed that in using the same cookies, each time we visit the Diaries Forum or the Weightloss Forum we have to re log-in.
Not a problem, just letting everyone be aware to re log-in.

Dolly, your diary will remain unlocked to everybody else but you (when logged in), but everybody has access to reading your diary.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.
