Ally - Quark is a very smooth, creamy cottage cheese, it's made solely of milk or skim milk and has live cultures and stuff in it

That's sounds really good. Where do you get it from and is it expensive? I eat a lot of cottage cheese and didn't realise it had any bad additives in it.

Hey Donk homemade is always the best isn't it......I converted a "Godfathers Lasagne" to a much healthier option....it had 1 kg of mince in it and 1kg of cheese to serve 8 people! I got it down to 600g mince and added mushrooms, 100g cheese and 2tbs fresh parmesan to serve 8...much better tasting and much better for your waistline!!

Yum Em that sounds really nice...will have to hunt it down....thanks

You get it from health food stores, and I know in SA the Foodland/IGA stores have it. Not sure about interstate. It's made by b.d. Farm Paris Creek. I've only seen it in 500g containers for $5.39.

I had a little left-over casserole (SO much better reheated) in a big salad of baby spinach and rocket...oh and a green tea.

Sounds like an odd mix I know but it was damn good...trust me.
