I had the exct same question but was too embarrassed to ask. I've never lost much weight, so I worry that when i do I'll look like a saggy baggy elephant. My partner tells me I won't but I dunno.
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

Here's an intereseting story that may prove helpful.
Many years back my daughters high school teacher had lost about 35 kilo fast which left her with lots of saggy skin on her upper arms, upper legs, her back but especially on her belly (apron skin as it's often called)
She wanted it removed straight away, so booked in for surgery.
The operation was a success and she looked stunning, but then over the next few months her skin became painfully tighter and she looked strange.
The Doctor told her that when you've lost big amounts of weight you are supposed to wait at least 2 years before attempting to have any surgery because the skin takes that long to shrink again after losing weight.

Thanks Dolly, I was unsure whether the skin does shrink back, but by the sounds of it, it does.

thats a long time waiting for your skin to shrink but suppose its better to be fit and wrinkly than unfit.

Dolly,

That plastic surgery site was very interesting - thanks for putting that link up for us.
