ok now I am getting excited!

Postby Tas » Tue Jan 10, 2006 10:31 am

Called in to the local shopping centre for a couple of passport photos (re-newing our english ones) - as we had to wait for 15 minutes I dropped in to a well known ladies clothing shop and they had a new design of shorts - so I sorta thought to myself "nah, I better not try them on because they will be too small and I don't need that today"
But OH insisted I try them on - so I did - a size 14 - and was grinning from ear to ear - they fit so loosely!!! Yep you read it correctly LOOSELY!
The assistant was sure she had a sale on her hands as I was grinning so much, but I said "No thanks, I just wanted to see if I fit in to them!"
But a further suprise was that OH had to go out and he came back with them :D Firstly I am surprised that he went solo in to a ladies shop but most importantly he was so rapt for me - that's not bad after 29 years (next month) of marriage is it?

Thanks for listening to the ramblings of a mad woman!

Cheers

Thanks Dolly! It has taken this incident to really get me excited about my weight loss efforts.

Quite normal really I am sure but I still feel very over-weight - but seeing the change in sizes helps to keep us on track and keep things in perspective.

One very close friend actually told me last night she didn't think I need to lose any more weight but like us all, I manage to wear clothes that hide the extra weight - so will keep on going for a few more kilo's yet.

Cheers

Congratulations Tas. That's fantastic. It's great when we don't think something will fit and it does.

Oh What A feeling. :) :D

Thanks Carlton - you're spot on - it's a feeling like outa-this-world. Made it all worthwhile - not having a chocolate yesterday!

I got so excited I forgot to collect our passport photos which was the reason for going there in the first instance

Cheers

Thanks Fairie and Hushpuppy!

I love the penguin!

Yes OH's can certainly surprise us at times - in more ways than one

My OH has even joined me on the low fat diet and he has lost about 4 kilo's and has maintained it - so we are happy with that.

Just about to get a tuna and lettuce sandwich on wholemeal for lunch - no friut for me today - my crohn's is a little upset at the moment. Probably because of all the chocolate that fell in to my mouth over the Christmas break LOL

Back to it...
Thanks again

Cheers

Well done!! And isn't it fantastic when the OH does something like that - it show's they're thinking about you!!! I hope you gave him a big huggle- and maybe a bit extra, wink wink, nudge nudge!!!!

Ummm huggle for OH - Nope! Just a grin will suffice thank you!

A bit of the other? Now, is it a fat-losing-exercise? If so - a very half-hearted...maybe

I think I would prefer to make him a coffee while we work (low fat milk and no sugar of course!)

He has just read this and asked if he could add "He would prefer a bit of the other but will settle for less" LOL Got him trained LOL

Cheers

Thanks Dolly - OH has read it and thinks it could be correct and whilst he would love to just the theory out in practical terms - the answer is still "NO" LOL.

I'm too tired and have lots of work to catch up on and that my dear is the last thing on MY mind

OH can keep on dreamin' :P

Cheers
