What do you do when you want to do nothing?

Postby MissE » Tue Sep 11, 2007 6:19 pm

I started a walk but it was drizzling, i started an exercise vid but I couldnt be bothered... I'm weighing in tomorrow and I neeeeed to do something!!
So let's accept that I'm not going to do anything like what I *should* do, and work on a 'well you could at least...' plan.
Suggestions?

hehe same! it's productive, i think ;) i only exercise during the day, so night time is usually my forum time. if you really want a weight loss tomorrow, maybe do some star jumps, push ups, dips, squats or skipping, and then drink lots of green tea.

Hello

You are just like me. I started my weight loss journey two years ago and still struggle with exercise. Here's what I do (it may or may not help)........

1. I go to exercise classes..... I would never walk out of one half way through. I could not do a DVD exercise tape at home, I just would not do it.

2. I have set days to exercise and set times. If I make all these in a week I get a small reward (not food for myself). I workout 4 times a week.

3. Set realistic expectations.

4. Find something I really like.

Hope that helps!

Good luck and let us know how you are going!

hmmm take an umbrella when its raining! I dont drive so have to get my boy to and from kindy even in the rain...just don a coat and umbrella and you'll be fine ;) One thing I do if I havent done any exercise is to march on the spot while I watch TV....either just on ad breaks or during the entire show (depending on how lazy I feel!) it all adds up...even if u do look silly! :D
