A realistic goal weight?

Postby Sharee » Wed Sep 12, 2007 3:46 pm

Hi everyone, I am wondering how other people found a realistic goal weight for themselves. I am 166cm (5 foot 6 inches) tall and currently weight 67.2 kg, down from a peak of 79kg.
I have set a goal weight of 60kg as I have found a few sites which have calculators which not only tell you your healthy range but an ideal weight as well. Do you think this is realistic, and is there anyone out there of a similar height who can share their goals? thanks

all i can suggest is these calculators are used as a guide only. set goals of a couple of kilos each and once you meet them re evaluate how you feel and where you want to be. only you know how you feel being a certain weight

Yes i think 166cm/60kg is perfectly fine :)

My goal is 53kg (I put 50 on my ticker but I would be happy with 53) I am 163cm.

Yep 60kg sounds reasonable to me.

I set my goal weight because I had been to that before and knew that it felt pretty good. I didn't go by any BMI charts or anything like that. So yeah just go by what feels good for you :)
