I bit the bullet and decided to try one noone has mentioned yet. It's from the people who do protein shakes for the broncos and the melbourne storm but they do fat loss and meal sup ones too. It's called Musashi "Strip Fat". Tastes pretty good (chocolate flavour). Will keep you ladies updated on my progress thread :)

Can you mix shakes with hot water instead of milk, or does that taste rank? It's just I'm not really a milk person (had half a litre of milk yesterday with my shakes! )

What do you ladies mix your shakes with?

Its a bit more expensive but EAS myoplex has worked wonders for me. It has a fraction of the sugars the TF's and other MRP's have, its extremely filling and im a really big bloke.

Taste the vanilla one is like a macca's thick shake, chocolate is ok, strawberry not my fav by far.

But i use 2 a day at around $3.50 each, less than i would normal spend on take away!

Hi Bigrik,

Where do you get these shakes from? Describing them like the maccas thick shake is that the flavour (yum) or are they thick also?

Cheers,

Michelle

Tony fergason shakes have to be mixed with water only.

Some people heat theirs up, I prefer it with cold water

Celeb Slim- pretty filling, VERY sweet, sickly almost

Tony Ferguson- Very filling, yuuumy flavours

Optifast- Very filling, ok flavours, (but cheaper than the above 2 brands)

Optislim- Practically identical to the optifast ones

UltraSlim- Very powdery and left a yucky taste cheap though...not filling at all!

Fatblaster Shakes- Found them to be filling, but a little blah

Hope Ive been some help :D xx

Thanks for this. I didn't realise there were so many. There is another one too balled Betty Baxter.

I did a bit of research on the Optifast and Ultraslim and found out that they have less protein and calories than the others, hence the lesser price. I think it is 8grams of protein vs 12 grams in Tony Ferguson and some others, hence the lower price.

Most supplement stores can get them, but the cheapest i found was ASN, just google the name for the website.

They are thick and you can use water or skim milk, i found no difference so i use water

Kate Morgan runs basically the same as Tony Ferguson and they cost the same to join ($15 for life) and the shakes work out to the around the same price as TF. There are small differences in the programs as well. I have tried the TF shakes and the KM shakes and I must admit that I do prefer the TF flavours - but will persevere!!!

Sassy,

How did you do with the KM shakes? I found them quite gritty.

Just started on Optifast.
Trying the vanilla at the moment...at first absolutely hated it...now i must be getting used to the taste... Fills you up quite nicely.
I have vaired my routine :- Breakfast - Cereal
Lunch - chicken and Salad
Dinner - Optifast
Snack - fruit or dried fruit.

I find that i am quite hungry by the time i get home from work so i have the shake at that time and some fruit later as a top up.

will weigh in on monday so i will know how this routine went.
