I just read an old topic on it here but was wondering if you girls kept with it?

To be honest I am totally scared of trying it. But I have to give it a go I think. I have tried ww and watching what I eat but it never works out. And I really want to be able to walk around iin shorts and a singlet this summer.

The only thing that turns me off it is lunches. I find it hard now to eat salad so i dont know how i will go eating it every day.

Hmmm.... I have never done shake diets.

They have an information line that you can call to ask about what you need to do. I think the number is on their webpage. Just get as much information as you can then make a decision. After your gather the information, ask yourself.... 'is this for me?' If the answer is YES .... go for it! If not, keep searching.....

My friend did lose weight on a shake diet and has never put it back on...... she has stuck like glue to the maintence plan.

Oh, I hate salad too. I use low calorie dressing.... makes it taste nicer! LOL

Just out of curiousity...... have you tried calorie counting?

I am a firm believer that different things work for different people. I tried lots of things before I tried calories.

Chin up! You will find what works for you! :D

Look forward to reading your success story in the near future.

Heya,
Yep im still doing TF, am on my 4th week and loving it. Is easy and I am getting great losses. Am also feeling really good as well, which helps!

As 4 the whole salad thing, I dont eat much of it at all. Around twice a week or so. Im more a veggie person!

An example of what I eat in a day...I work 5.30am-2.30pm and find that I am not hungry at all throughout the day.

Breakky-Shake...there strawberrie & Cream shake is sooo yum, I chuck it in a blender with ice and strawberries and it is so nice!

Break-Cup of Tea
2 pieces of fruit, usually for me its either apple, banana, orange, dried apricots or strawberries (your allowed 10 s/berries as 1 serve!!
Bowl of diet jelly

Lunch- TF Shake &
bowl of stir fry veggies or vegg soup OR
I have my main meal, so portion of protein and veggies and salad or whatever...

Dinner- Either TF shake or my main meal.

Plus if I feel like more food I just eat more stirfrys/jelly etc
The days I do more hardcore exercise I eat extra protein!

So I eat a fair bit :D

The shakes are yummo, its easy, you get good results...and for me personally I find it to be convinient for my lifestyle...plus its helping me get the last bit of weight off!

So dont be scared, your best bet is to try it for a week, see how you go! Any other q's just ask :)

I suggest if you work, to start it just before the weekend or if you can get a few days off to do it as you will have a few bad detox days in the beginning.

I had to go off it because I took 3 days off work because of the detox I went through and nearly lost my job.

Hi ppl.
I've just gone back on TF after 8 months of eating whatever i liked. i was on it for a few months and lost heaps of weight. I just missed eating things like potatoes and pumpking which i love. and bread as well, so i stopped for a while.
Oh boy, i put on 7 kilos!!!!

Happy to say now that i'm back on the healthy wagon and have lost 2 kilos so far. I would like to be about 58 kilos when i'm done. Only 9 kilos to go.......woooo hoooooooo!

it can be daunting starting something new jez. good on you for giving it a go to see if this programme is for you :) my understanding is that you have a shake for 2 meals of the day and lean meat and vegies/salad for the other meal of the day. you can also eat as much vegies and salad as you like (from the list of allowable foods) and 2 serves of fruit a day. im sure once you stock up on the vegies fruit and diet jelly that you wont find you are hungry. with summer coming up it will feel easier to eat the salads.

Kate is right. You have toe at atleast 3 cups of vegies a day whether its salad or other veg is upto you. There are also some chicken tonight sauces you can get that are 5g carb or less per 100 gram that are allowed on the diet aswell so when you need a bit of extra variety they can be pretty good. When i was on it i also added diet cordial to my water to make it easier to drink and now i love my diet cordial and drink it over fizzy drinks :D

I added this to your other post, but Ill add it here too-
uum to the post above, I think if anything, TF would have LESS fibre than ww? ppl often have the problem with TF of getting constipated because of the lack of fibre? (and then add fibre to the shakes which is optional) With ww you are eating regular food, and their is fibre in bread, pastas, rice, biscuits, fruit, veg....I would say a LOT more than TF...not that Im advertising it, but maybe do a little more research before deciding its a definate no?? xx

the thing with WW is that you can eat whatever you want, you dont have to eat anything with fibre in it and its a plan that never has to stop because your changing your lifestyle for good!!

Good on you!! And good luck! I love WW and think its brilliant!
