Lush Gal Daily Detox Diary

DAY TWO ....

Well last night was ok. I munched my way through an enormous amout of brown rice, salad and natural yoghurt and had salmon for dinner.

No wine, coffee, tea or GASP  DIET COKE was not as hard as I thought it would be ... although I'll check in with you all later to let you know whether I end up stabbing someone ......

I popped all the supplements (multi V, fish oil, probiotic and triphala) this morning. Along with brown rice and yoghurt for breakie I was feeling pretty smug.

I am down 1kg on the scales this morning to yesterday but I prefer to weigh weekly rather than get my hopes up.

Not sure if I'll shed weight eating SO much carb rich rice / potatoes etc???

Also went for a walk this morning as I had energy, which surprised me as I felt like death the last time I detoxed 3 years ago.

Thanks for al your support guys!

Thanks Guys.

Lunch was a salad with a couple of rice cakes and tuna, I am surprisingly full!

We are just about to book our trip to Vietnam too !!! We were hoping to depart on 20/12 but due to flight availability we are leaving on 14/12.

It sounds completely bonkers, but psychologically, the thought of leaving one week earlier has me freaking out and wanting to shift some weight NOW. Afterall, the shopping in Vietnam is one of the major reasons I want to go!

I weighed in at 69.3kg this morning (too scared to update my ticker in case I bloat up!), what do you guys think is a reasonable goal weight for mid December (please say 60kg or under  hehehe)

hey lush girl, 60kg is achievable by december- remember its coming fast and furious! lol

my dad was in the vietnam war and it would be so great to go there and check it all out, unfortunately he has passed away but if he was still alive i would have loved to have talked to him about it. i hope you enjoy yourself!

Ok day three of the first stage (which is 7 days long).

Breakie was sliced tomato and chopped mushies fried in a dash of olive oil.

Mid morning snack was two rice cakes topped with 1/2 can pink salmon.

Not sure what to do for lunch??

Last night's tea will make a great snack this arvo (I baked some salmon fillets - none of that left!) and made up a big pot of fresh ratatoule (spelling??), with a tonne leftover. Will boil some (more) brown rice and have that on top with natural yoghurt.

I even exercised TWICE yesterday - a brisk walk in morning and a slower walk after dinner.

The scales are saying 68.7 this morning!! That's 1.6kg since Monday - I'm eating tonnes too. Hmmmmm. Hopefully it keeps up!

DAY FOUR - feeling good ....

Well, my breath stinks !!! And my pee is dar and bright! So either it's ketosis or hubby has been sneaking vodka into my water bottle.

My breath is so ripe that even after two teethbrushing sessions my hubby still commented! He did say (encouragingly though!!) that "I must be losing weight again" as that's what I smelt like on TF.

I've eaten so much vegies the last four days and drank a tonne of water, I'm actually feeling really energetic. I even did a weights session at the gym!

I'm surprisingly not missing wine as much as I thought I would, but I'm on no fruit for the first week and I would kill for an apple - funny given that I'd eaten next to no fruit the last 6 weeks! Always wanting what I can't have!

I don't know if I'll get through the full 3 weeks (the naturopath prescribed one week of stage one intense detox diet, and 1-2 weeks of stage two which is still quite restrictive).

It's going great though to prove to me I don't have to go to bed at night 3 parts p!ssed and chock full of junk food.

Anyways, enough rambling!
