Well i went for the first time today...God almost killed myself with all the stuff i did... :D

But i know it was worth it...

I have 1 question but...If i do weights should i do cardio after the weights or shouldn't i...

I do do a warm up on the treadmill for 5 mins then do the weights...

Then i did the cardio after the weights and thats what killed me...

Can anyone help me please...

Well done for getting to the gym Paul, sounds like you worked hard :D

There was a discussion about weights and cardio, what should be done first... not sure if this is of any help. I'm a bit confused about it myself.

I think that whatever works for you is the best way about it!

I've always preferred to do my cardio first, because then my muscles feel more warmed up and my weights routine tends to be easier... if I do it the other way around, I'm so wrecked, I can't do cardio!

The main thing is to do them both. Whether you do cardio then weights, or weights then cardio, or do them at separate times of the day (ie morning and evening) or even on separate days.. the important thing is to DO it!

Thanks SarahC for that sort of helped...lol

Mandie

I have no problem doing both even it almost killed me i think maybe i needed a small rest in between the cardio

I was doing bike for 10 mins

Treadmill 18 mins

Cross trainer for 10 mins

and that incline step up machine...

And it took everything i had...

G;day i usally do a bit of cardio before and after weights, but usually get in more down before the weights, but it's only ment to be a 5 min warm up on moderate and i usually do like 15mins on high. Finished yr 12 l;ast week and missed my fri gym session and boy i went today and i could feel that i havent been for 5 days. Enjoy the gym mate cos its honestly the best thing i have done ever.. Just FYI it's been a month and abit for me and i got a compliment while wearing shorts at skool about my leg muscles, i felt pretty good. Cya round aus guy
