Aaawww you guys. Thank you for thinking of me *hugs* to you all :D .

ummmmm so much is happening but I will try to keep things brief and won't go into my usual long winded rambles  . I'll try to get to the point, I promise .

As to my mum, health wise things aren't good. I was very angry with her for hiding the fact that her cancer had come back a lot earlier than she'd let on to us kids. I can understand why mum and dad didn't let us know but at the same time I felt angry, and because kids (even adult kids in my case) still blame themselves for their parents action I took that anger out on myself, hence "seeing" my past year as me being selfish. Selfish because I was sooooooo focused on me and my weight loss journey I didn't even pick up on signs that were clear indicators that not all was right with mum health wise. I did apologise to mum for being selfish and towards the end of my journey I was a woman possessed because I was so close to the finish line I was doing everything my PT and sports dietician advised me to do and working my butt off by mixing up my exercise and eating nutritious healthy food, so I wouldn't be caught in the dreaded plateau. Anyhow, after many in-depth conversation with mum I've seen the light and I shouldn't have gone off the deep end and deleted my post to erase my own perceived "selfishness". Mum rightly pointed out that no I wasn't being selfish in any way whatsoever, and I was doing something to make myself better, happier and healthier, right the wrongs of the past and was even doing it after much concerned talks from my parents and siblings that my weight gain was getting out of control. Mum also pointed out that I can't control everything around my life, and I must purely focus on the future as the past can't be changed.

My mum, sis and I are headed off to Melbourne tomorrow evening to do some shopping, spend some quality time together and hopefully find a dress. I've talked to a dress maker and I'm leaving it incredible late so I'm hoping I find a dress in Melbourne and it won't need any or too many alterations. I do want to say one thing, the wedding dresses I've been trying on are size 6 :D I couldn't believe it, was happy but also a little concerned that I'm getting a bit to skinny. THe boy has given me the nick name "greyie" referring to a grey hound and how they have a bony spine.

Running has become my stress relief and this week I've clocked up 80ks  My coach is on my back hehehehe so I've got to stop running so much. Gyming is still going great guns. It's become second nature to go to the gym after my morning runs and I'm still keeping up with hockey. I'm eating like a horse all good healthy food. I've lost all desire to eat high energy foods but do eat them from time to time.

There's more that's been happening but will leave that for another time. I am missing my boy like mad, can't wait till he gets back from Japan.

Thank you for checking up on me ladies. I have been so busy and stressed I havent' had much of a chance to get on here and catch up with everyone else’s progress. Will do so now, as I'm not sleepy yet. I really should get to bed I need to be up at 4am.

*Hugs and Kisses* to you all :D .

xoxo

You are doing so well, Bella! I'm happy to hear you had a good talk to your mum about her illness and that she set you straight on your alleged 'selfishness'. You're a great person and I'm sure your mum has revelled in your health and fitness success. Any parent wants to see their child happy and looking after themselves so by doing so well with your running and new eating patterns you probably made her happier than you can imagine!

Good luck with finding a dress. There are many great wedding dress designers in Melbourne. I'm sure you'll find the perfect frock here!

Your right you shouldn't have deleted your post (cos now i am not sure where to write to you so if i seem a bit awol on your thread its cos i'm not sure  )
Your mums right, you have not once been selfish. At times as hard as what you have been through you need to keep looking after yourself and if this sight is keeping you on the right track then stick with it (plus we all value your advice and experiences so much)
Have you moved your wedding? I thought you said that it was in 2010 when you first got engaged but if your looking for a dress already it must have moved.
I hope everything is going well for you and your mum is getting healthier.

Hello my beautiful ladies :D .

I'm so sorry I haven't been around much lately, I've been super busy organising my wedding (which is creeping up closer and closer yikes  ), work, working out a timetable for uni as I'm starting full time uni again this semester (what am I doing, am I crazy hahahahaha), running, gyming, hockey, socialising with family and friends I haven't really had much time to get on here. I have a super tight schedule to stick to, fitting in work, uni, exercise and pleasure time. I feel sooooo much better and less stressed having a plan of attack.

Tara, we've moved the wedding ahead to this year as I want my mother to see me getting married, the way my mum's health is going she won't be with us in 2010 when we originally planned on getting married. My mother has been just amazing organising and putting our wedding together. It's taking place on the day we were going to have a grand engagement party (planned by the mothers) because the boy and I didn't want a huge wedding apart from parents present, so the plan was to have a huge engagement party, that's now turned to the ceremony and we are getting married in the afternoon leading to a big bash afterwards.

I'm so excited, my boy returns home from his travels this Friday. I cannot wait to see him, I've been missing him like mad and this is the longest time we've been apart since we've met. Everyone says we are such a sooky, cutish couple and if we're not spending time together we are on the phone texting and messaging each other hahahaha. I can't wait to have lots of fun with him  .

ummmm what else!

Melbourne was awesome! I love it and yes I found my wedding dress - at last, I was getting a bit stressed that I would never find the dress I wanted. I absolutely love the style and I can wear it again when the boy and I renew our vows on our 2 year anniversary. We still want to get married in the Greek Isle, so we've promised each other to do that. Mum, my sis and I stayed in Fitzroy and down the road from the hotel there is this divine chocolate shop. I selected half a dozen chocolates and it cost $70  I could not believe it. We also bought a bottle of red wine and really made a treat out of eating the chocolate, they were melt in your mouth and well worth the money. I can honestly say I've never eaten yummier chocolate. We also went to the Crown C.asino (dot in the middle so it doesn't censor it out) and visited a number of great restaurants. I got some really great shots of buildings (i love taking pickies of buildings :P ) and of course we did shopping and sight- seeing.

The weekend after we had a mother/daughter weekend away again. This time the destination was Sydney. We stayed at the Marriort and did so much. We all did the Harbour Bridge Climb - OMG it was freakin awesome. The pictures I got from the vantage point just amazing. There's this restaurant/lounge bar called Soho (has anyone been?) which make the yummiest cocktails, my sis and I had wayyyyy to much to drink hahahaha.

Hmm, what else not much else have just been super busy. My eating is going great, I have jumped on the scale just to monitor my weight but mainly using my clothing to judge if I'm overeating, its kinda hard to tell cos I eat like a horse hahahahaha lucky I love running so much & I'm keeping up with the gym cos its helping me maintain my weight. Still weighing in at 50kgs.

well as per usual I've babbled on for long enough. I'm going to go catch up as much as I can with everyone.

I hope everyone is super.

Lots of luv :D
