What positive changes have you noticed?

What are the good things in your life that has changed due to diet and exercise? I thought this could keep us all inspired to keep going!


:arrow: Extra energy, i'm not tired all the time now
:arrow: No more dizzy spells
:arrow: Feeling healthy - I don't feel bloated and sick anymore!
:arrow: I have extra things in my life now. I love exercising! NEVER thought i'd say that lol
:arrow: And the challenge of weight loss and toning up and how good it feels when old clothes fit etc
Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.

Just enjoying the new and improved healthy me and embracing my new lifestyle!

For me it would be

:arrow: My fitness has improved dramatically ! No more walking short distances for me :D
:arrow: Phsycial - having the ability to move around more freely.
:arrow: Physical - Seeing the loss in my face and other areas of my body in such a short time
:arrow: Exercise ! Exercise ! Exercise ! Im no longer a couch potatoe and really enjoy the exercise Im doing
:arrow: Re educating myself in terms of food and making wiser choices when eating out
:arrow: Got rid of the chronic fatigue
:arrow: Getting some of my confidence back
:arrow: No longer feeling embarassed to walk out in public. No longer a prisoner in my home

Wow, writing it down like this makes you realise how far you've come doesnt it ? Excellent thread Fiona !!

For me...

(lets go with my initial weight loss from 140kg compared to where I am now)

...WAY more confidence - in everything!
...buying clothes in "normal" shops
...learning to cook
...getting fitter


I hope to continue!

I started my new healthy mission 4 days ago, but even i that short space of time, I have noticed that my skin has started to clear up and my face has a little bit of a glow :)

I agree that was a fantastic thread, feeling very positive :D

Way more energy!
Wanting to go out and socialise
Having the shop assistants help me - and telling me i need a smaller size
Picking up when i go out :wink:
A lot more confidence to do things I wouldn't normally do
High level of fitness

:arrow: knowing that i now have the ability to change who i am for the better!

Thank you this is a great thread. I've never really dieted - just put on weight slowly over a long period of time, so I hadn't thought about the benefits. I just tend to think, "I will lose weight and be healthier". I now realise this is much too vague. I need to chose some clear pictures for my mind to focus on.

:lol: Total change of mindset
:lol: a determination I did not know I had
:lol: Willpower I did not know I had
:lol: more than 12kgs lighter all round
:lol: way more energy
:lol: greater fitness levels - I actually can walk quite fast without getting puffed so quickly.
:lol: Greater confidence
:lol: Greater interest in me, which sounds strange, but I had neglected "me" for so long coz I was fat and ugly so I
never bothered with makeup, hair or clothes.
:lol: :oops: Feeling more sexy, for which hubby is very greatful :oops:
:lol: I am starting to look goooood in most clothes now!

On the negative side:
:( A bit saggy under the jawline
:( Noticing more wrinkles (I'm nearly 44, so to be expected I suppose)
:( eeerrrr, boobs are, um, going south
:( ditto with bum

SW: 76kg (08/07)
CW: 60.2kg (21/05)
GW: 55kg

:arrow: Can run at least one km now
:arrow: Meeting lots of new people that are doing the same thing as me
:arrow: Extending my life by improving my health
:arrow: rekindling my love for cooking
:arrow: Feeling more confident
:arrow: I actually want to go clothes shopping now!
