Do you even know what you've lost?

Postby Gordz » Wed Jan 21, 2009 1:01 am

So tonight I was looking at the scales... 6kg down from when i started. So i went to my weights, racked up 6kg and holy shitties.... I was stunned! In 3.5 weeks i had lost an amount of weight comparable to what I use to workout... I had never referenced the physical weight to the numbers. Numbers are just maths... I never understood them and I don't care as long as they are going my way, but put that into reality and we really are acheiving something here!!

Funnily enough I was thinking about this this morning as junior and I were walking to the supermarket. I looked at him trotting along side me and thought sheesh kid I have lost around 4 kilos shy of two of you  .

It's hard to believe that since I reached my highest weight in mid-2007 I've lost just over 31 bags of flour. I've been doing a lot of baking of late, so I've got flour on the brain, LOL.

I've lost 10kg's, which is about the weight of my road bike frame (steel) and the same weight I rack on my dumbells for workout as well. You made me realise I actually have lost quite a lot :o

I have lost 18kg, when i get home and need to carry my 12kg son up the stairs I struggle on hot days- he just seems so heavy but I remind myself i have lost 1 and a half of him so I should be able to carry him around all day long! How did I do it in the past, I honestly cant carry him around for long- i get too tired.

You are so right.. I was thinking this the other day.
Especially when im at the gym and see the massive 20 kg dumbells it is such a shock. I have lost about 25 kilos and to think i was carrying all of that, when i cant even pick up a 20 kilo dumbell with two hands is freaky!

Still lost about 10kg's.
Though, last time that was the same as my steel road bike frame. Right now it is the same as my entire bike (got a newer, lighter road bike).
