Head Problems?

Postby Shay » Sat Feb 02, 2008 1:55 am

I've been having a few issues in the last couple of days. I usually get a headache at night time, usually from around 10pm. Also, when I turn my head, there's a strange time aspect and feeling to it, where I feel its turning but time also slows down. Anyone experienced anything similar or have any idea why this is happening?

I've never had that exactly, but I do get a really stiff neck, and sometimes get a little dizzy when I try to turn my head. Maybe check with your doctor, or maybe a physio, something like that...

No, not using shakes. I'm living on painkillers daily now, they're now creeping into the daytime

It could be the painkillers causing that odd time-delay feeling. I was on painkillers for my wisdom teeth for a while and I found anything with codeine in it tended to make me feel light-headed and a bit off-kilter.

If this headache has persisted for a while I'd go and see a doctor.

Hey, you're right! Why didnt I think of that lolll! The painkillers are making me whoozy *light fills the room suddenly, accompanied by choir music*

I suspect my low calorie intake is causing my headaches. Just cant seem to eat that extra 600 or so

I've known people coming off anti-depressents who've described that feeling of turning their head and time catching up with them.
Just keep moving! And don't be lazy...

See a doctor, this isn't normal and could be serious.

I've heard that taking painkillers can actually make the headaches worse, as you get "rebound headaches". I guess as the painkiller wears off, the headache comes back, so you need to take more, etc etc. I know, I got stuck in that cycle, I just lived on panadols, took them like lollies, but after a while they just stopped working! But I was having headaches every day for over 6 months....

Maybe try to stop taking the painkillers and see if you can discover the real cause of the pain. The drugs are just a bandaid unfortunately :(

I am pleading with you to see a doctor. Its probably nothing major but you never know.

My ex's father got headaches and dizziness for months before he collpased and was found to have 3 brain tumors. Now I know thats the worst case scenario but you should take this seriously!!

I had been getting headaches everyday for weeks & wasn't taking any pain killers as they just didn't work. They were getting worse at night times & the light was affecting me. I went to the doctor & he asked me when the last time I had my eyes checked which was over 2 years ago. Found out all it was I needed much stronger glasses so had bad eye strain daily.
So it could be as simple as needing glasses or it could be serious, either way get it checked out by a doctor. :D
